Help me find this actor. Apologies for the obscurity.

Pkay so I am currently reading a book and one of the characters is in my head played by an actor I have seen in things but cannot for the life if me think what Injave actually seen him in.

He looks a bit like John Shea or William Defoe, but he is English and had dark curly ish hair.

Please help me. It's been driving me mad for days. I have finished the book and I still cant get it out of my head.

FFS I have tried 3 times to get his name right. Its Willem.

NO, not Dominic West. He is too much of a big actor. This guy is more smaller parts.

Is he the bloke off Sherlock who played the CSI person? He looks like John Shea and is British. Can't think of his name at all, but been in a few TV shows

It's not Bertie Carvell playing Jonathan Strange is it? He's unrecognisably different in everything he does. But in this he looks like a cross between McGann and Shea
