It’s being broadcast on the nasa YouTube channel and website.?

Just under 2 hours to launch, they’re just shutting the hatch now.

Sooo excited. Dad and I always try to watch them. Bit sad I am not watching it with him tonight, but we will be on the phone.
Also the swan comet may be visible too. We will be getting my 12 year olds telescope out. We are all excited.

My husband is so I am upstairs!! I was going to send him to sit in our Tesla to watch it but I thought that would be unkind!

Yep...really interesting to see all the views available these days but I'll admit to longing for the voice of Jack King (that really dates me)..

BTW are folks aware that according to the predictive websites such as Heavens Above Dragon will overfly the UK and be visible shortly after launch? ISS goes over about 5 minutes before

Mrsemcgregor · 27/05/2020 19:54

Weathers looking a bit dodgy in Florida!! Rather wet! Hope it clears up 🤞

JacobReesMogadishu · 27/05/2020 19:55

Wow, I didn’t know it was going to be visible here, off to google to work out which direction I need to look in.

I’m excited.

West to east! Tim Peak posted about it, it will be visible at between 21:45-50. Might be too light in northern U.K. to see it.
bluefoxmug · 27/05/2020 20:00

watching the nasa channel.

fascinating.

but I could never be an astronaut because...

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 27/05/2020 20:03

My dad said towards the moon. It will be 13ish mins after the launch. I am going outside straight after launch!

DS has been watching for hours. I've really tried to take an interest

JacobReesMogadishu · 27/05/2020 20:21

MeteorWatch website says it will be West to east. Not sure whether to believe them or Tim Peake.

JacobReesMogadishu · 27/05/2020 20:25

squashyhat · 27/05/2020 20:34

Weather not looking good Sad

JacobReesMogadishu · 27/05/2020 20:34

Dh says it’s only tracked to be visible from south west of U.K.? Says we might see it further north?

OP posts:
GreyGardens88 · 27/05/2020 20:36

Cloudy in London

notimagain · 27/05/2020 20:39

but at the moment they are ahead of schedule

They may be ahead in terms of preparation but they can't actually launch ahead of schedule because it would stuff up the rendezvous with ISS (the space station).

Fingers crossed about the weather..

AlternativePerspective · 27/05/2020 20:40

Far too cloudy here to see it.

TheHighestSardine · 27/05/2020 20:50

Fuel loading has been greenlighted.

Furball · 27/05/2020 20:55

We saw part of the rocket that launched the space x satellites come over (not technical myself - but it was part of the launch that had been discarded) so yes I too will be hot footing outside
