I'm absolutely fine but sometimes when things get a bit much I need to have a cry to let some sad feelings out. Has anyone got any ideas of (shortish) things I can watch to make me have a little weep ocassionally?

Lion left me cold, Truly, Madly Deeply is on my hate list - I will NEVER forget the hopping scene.

A Dog's Purpose; still traumatised over two years.later. The dog kept dying - It wasn't fair!

After Life (TV series)

Or

About Time (film)

Both on Netflix I believe, both brilliant for different reasons, both made me cry my eyes out.

Lion - that film knocked me sideways

Dances with wolves - a classic, but so sad in places

Lion on Netflix made me cry so much. I've downloaded the book on Kindle to read as well.

@RenegadeMrs

The Snowman makes me cry and it's not very long. His friend melts!!!

If you are not quite as wet as I am, Grave of the Fireflys by Studio Ghibli. It's animated, but heartbreaking. It's also a film, so 89 mins long, but you don't need to watch that long before the heartbreak hits.

I've just finished Grave of the Fireflies. Feel like I've been hit by a bus.

Marley and fucking me.

I remember saying to my H at the time,

"I won't cry, its a film about a bloody dog, I'm sure i can handle it"

Oh my god. I was so wrong. I sat in our downstairs toilet sobbing stupid amounts, snot everywhere, i was absolutely in pieces.

Ive never, ever watched that silly film since, nor have I cried at anything like i did that film.
