How come Mrs Hinch can do it?

Not bashing her at all, I really quite like her page.

But this morning I saw her videos about wearing a dress and putting her nails on, baby has eaten a lovely homemade breakfast, house is clean and it's only the morning.

I'm usually dressed in baggy old clothes (even though I have a wardrobe full of nice things), I make nice things for the baby to eat but she just throws it on the floor, and if I do get a chance to tidy something it's messy again within an hour. DD hasn't slept well at night all week, and is resisting her daytime naps so I'm exhausted.

How does she do it? Are other people able to do it? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong Sad.

I think unfollowing all these people on Insta sounds like a very good idea. If you still want your Insta fix then I recommend pictures of cake and baby animals. Much more wholesome!

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2020 15:54

I have Instagram to follow some of the celebrities I like and have interesting stuff to say.
I look at Mrs H's feed more out of curiosity (mostly thinking what the hell is she doing now?) rather than having any real interest.

Viviennemary · 26/05/2020 16:03

For a bit of motivation for cleaning I like the Sunday Styalist. She has a small house and makes good use of space.

I'm actually shocked at how many people don't like her and are saying she's fake. I always thought she had a lovely genuine personality 😨

onesmalldog · 26/05/2020 16:10

It's all false OP. Plus the fact you haven't got the incentive of doing all this because, unlike Mrs Hinch, ultimately, you don't make thousands and thousands of pounds out of it.

As someone above put it IT'S BULLSHIT.

All influencer output is BULLSHIT.

It's there to make you feel bad - don't watch it or follow it and, as if by magic, a lot of your stress will disappear!

Cocobean30 · 26/05/2020 16:11

She has her husband there 24/7, her entire life is filtered, and she is a saleswoman. She’s not posting for fun as she makes it seem, it’s to project and image you’re buying in to to sell you crap. She was a saleswoman before becoming a hairdresser

mrsjg · 26/05/2020 16:11

I used to follow her and got some good cleaning tips, but at the beginning of lockdown I stopped following her as it just seemed to be ads for things she's got or everything was gifted.

She seems to be moving into the childcare world and that just wasn't applicable to me any more. I wonder as a pp has suggested that the next thing is a baby book.

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2020 16:15

I do believe the persona of being a bit clueless (guyzzzz) is a little bit disingenuous.
She is the exact opposite.

MsSquiz · 26/05/2020 16:17

Meh, I have a 5 month old and everyday I'm up, showered, make up on and dressed by 10am and baby has had her first bottle and nap. Yesterday I had an extra 5 mins to paint my toe nails and dye my eye brows while I got ready. This has been my routine with DD since she arrived and there's only a handful of times that I haven't gotten dressed and just scraped my hair back. It's just not who I am and I'm not comfortable like that. Each to their own

WhatsHappeningCaroleBaskin · 26/05/2020 16:18

Let's be fair, HER reality is achievable, because there's 2 of them at home and the baby naps twice a day.

Not sure why people feel the need to comment really, if you don't like it or it makes you feel bad, then just unfollow - the way I unfollow dieting accounts Grin

e1y1 · 26/05/2020 16:30

As lovely as she seems, she is as fake as they come.

Her IG page is her paid for job.

She has worked hard, building up contacts, connections and working with businesses to make that page what it is, slowly moving from homecare now into baby care.

She has written books, been on TV works with the worlds biggest businesses and has a manager.

The little ditzy blonde housewife living her life and all that suddenly happening is nowhere near the truth.

TeaAddict235 · 26/05/2020 16:30

Because she hasn't got a proper job?

Because she has NOTHING else in her life to do than attempt to portray a white female housewife narrative?

Because she simply isn't clever?

Because she is lonely?

ChillyB · 26/05/2020 16:33

Instagram should really be called Instasham.

grumpyorange · 26/05/2020 16:35

I really like her videos but am a bit concerned over how many chemicals she uses! It must smell so strong especially around the little one!

babysnowman · 26/05/2020 16:40

@MsSquiz Fair play to you, that's good going.

Pleasenodont · 26/05/2020 16:43

Instagram isn’t real. She likes to portray herself as some sort of 1950s goddess which I find quite sad tbh, women have come a long long way from that image...

She has one baby, maybe her baby sleeps well so she has plenty of spare time to do excessive cleaning and make up applications. It would be different if she had six kids.

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 26/05/2020 16:52

She probably recorded a lot of it in advance and posts it out in the days where she's not brushed her teeth and her hair is tied up with an old pair of knickers

LemonadeAndDaisyChains · 26/05/2020 17:04

Love Mrs Hinch (not in a hun way, I hasten to add but I love watching her Insta vids Grin )

Because everything you see is insta-filtered
This!
You know people only usually put the best bits on right?
I mean the bits where her baby probably throws his food onto the floor from his highchair and jumps on her karate chopped cushions maybe not so much lol

babysnowman · 26/05/2020 17:10

I'm old enough to know better and that Instagram is obviously just everyone's highlight reel. I think the less than 10 hours sleep over the last 3 nights is just getting to me today 😂

forevercurious · 26/05/2020 17:14

I too used to like Mrs Hinch however I’ve now realised how fake everything is! it’s all staged and many of her lies are have been spotted.

icansmellburningleaves · 26/05/2020 17:17

Don’t believe a word of it. Someone that has to post how perfect their life, house, baby, dog, husband are, is clearly missing something. It’s all smoke and mirrors It’s like she’s prostituted her life just to make money. That poor baby has had no choice regarding his image being slapped all over the internet. It’s the in thing now though.

Bluntness100 · 26/05/2020 17:20

Gosh some of rhe spiteful envious posts on here. 😱

Op, she’s already posted saying don’t believe everything you see a few days ago with a video of Ronnie refusing food. As you likely know he also likes to throw it on the floor a lot.

She’s not going to post videos of her child screaming and her house a shit tip, and quite frankly that’s not the norm for most folks. It’s more an occasional event. Babies of Ronnie age are not usually overly hard work if they sleep through. Yes some are, but more it’s a case of they are some times.

As for how she dresses, she’s shoving on eBay dresses she bought for a tenner or something, it’s hardly dressing up, and clearly doesn’t take longer than wearing other clothes.

Yes her husband is also there to help her. They are both at home.

MsSquiz · 26/05/2020 17:25

@Bluntness100 I totally agree!
Before lockdown when DH was at work, I still managed to do laundry and housework when DD napped.

And even while DH works from home, I am able to get some time for myself - whether that's a nap, a walk, a bath, doing my nails or whatever.

You work your life to suit you and your family, How they live their life suits them.
Some posters speak about her with such venom and it's sad to see. She's really not hurting anyone by having her Instagram page how she does

justanotherneighinparadise · 26/05/2020 17:26

If my house bring clean earned me a shit ton of money I too would be incentivised to clean it. Same with my kid, she’s a brand, she earns a lot of money, her life has to be seen as aspirational.

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2020 17:28

I find Stacey Solomon's Instagram a bit more 'real' if that makes sense. Even though it's not real Grin

I am glad there was no Instagram when I had a small baby so didn't have to compare my life. It would have been horrible.
