Does anyone have any netflix hidden gems?

I've seen all the usual ones that everyone knows about but I am out of stuff to watch and Netflix only puts stuff that it thinks you will like. So I get a merry-go-round of the same stuff each time.

Does anyone have anything that they think is brilliant but no one else seems to know about?

If you don't mind subtitles Black Money Love (Kara para ask) is brilliant, and addictive.

Yikes well that ought to keep me busy till lockdown ends thanks. Looks like I will start with Mindhunters. I can do subtitles but not dubbing.

Quicksand - it’s in Swedish with subtitles, about a school shooting. Best thing I’ve seen all year!

Dirk Gently! Especially the first season. I'm having a re-watch at the moment and enjoying just as much as I did the first time.

Screamingeels · 23/05/2020 17:49

Wanted. I loved it.. only come across the odd other person who has ever found it outside of Australia

Ninkanink · 23/05/2020 17:50

Samurai Gourmet. Absolute gem of a little series.

twilightermummy · 23/05/2020 17:59

Unorthodox is probably the best thing I've seen all year. It was beautiful Smile I'm not sure it's so hidden though.

Son recommended a Spanish film (dubbed into English) called The Platform. Dystopian thriller/horror with an interesting concept of an institution where inmates feed from a descending platform of food. Those at the top get the most but those housed on lower levels get less and less food.
It was an unsettling watch.

FeelingTheBurn · 23/05/2020 18:04

Caliphate.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/05/2020 18:26

@twilightermummy

Yes it had a moment, but seems to have completely disappeared off the homescreen now
