Cancelled, staying home. Might look at a weekend away a couple of hours drive away later in the year depending on how things seem.

elQuintoConyo · 22/05/2020 15:17

Er... We're not having one!

We hope to go camping July/August here in Spain, which looks more than likely. What we'd love is to cross the border into France, as we'd planned for Easter, but we'll see how things pan out.

Our holidays are simple, we don't fly anywhere or stay in hotels, so we haven't lost any money through cancelling our holidays this year. Thank fuck.

However, we have had various visitors had to cancel coming over Sad

Waxonwaxoff0 · 22/05/2020 15:27

Moved to next year.

AudacityOfHope · 22/05/2020 15:27

Moved to next year too.

MrsOrMiss · 22/05/2020 15:30

Yes, no overseas holiday at all this year for sure, we're planning a few days B & B near Snowdon in August - hopefully. Probably do something similar next year too spending the budget in the UK to keep UK business going.

tinytemper66 · 22/05/2020 15:30
  1. center parcs refunded
  2. Easyjet flights to Seville in August - waiting for them to cancel and will ask for refund
  3. Sorrento in August-had an email to say we can change dates to next year. Just waiting for my husband to confirm dates in work. Am holding onto the hope I can have a weekend in London in the Autumn.
Witchofzog · 22/05/2020 15:31

Outbound flights cancelled. Still waiting to hear about the return flight with a different airline and the Hotel. Very sad as I literally live for my holidays. Hopefully we will get away somewhere later in the year. Either Pembrokeshire or Greece if we are allowed

InOtterNews · 22/05/2020 15:32

A month in Australia cancelled - due to cancer not corona

A long weekend in a caravan in Dorest in August hanging the in the balance due to treatment for the above

poozel · 22/05/2020 15:32

Center parcs moved to next year
Summer holiday turned into a wooden climbing frame for garden

HeyBlaby · 22/05/2020 15:34

Lost a visit to my Dad in Spain at the end of March, lost a holiday to Mexico in May.

Due to travel to Cyprus in August, would rearrange but it would cost over £1000 to do so, just seeing what happens with that.

dementedma · 22/05/2020 15:37

Cancelled.

Fudgewhizz · 22/05/2020 15:37

We were only going 1.5hrs away to the coast in a caravan but it depends if sites reopen...

AlwaysCheddar · 22/05/2020 15:38

2 holidays cancelled by corona so far, maybe a third in the summer holidays...

CantStandMeow · 22/05/2020 15:39

Couldn't visit family abroad.

We'd planned to go interrailing in August, that's not happening either.

This year is a holiday free zone

SnoozyLou · 22/05/2020 15:39

We don’t have any anymore. So I’d say they have changed quite significantly.

Earslaps · 22/05/2020 15:39

Moved our Tui holiday to a year and two days later, so now going in August 2021. We have annual travel insurance, and they confirmed that any reschedule of a holiday booked before March this year, as ours was, would still be covered for any disruption caused by CV-19.

If, by some miracle, things open up in the summer we might try and grab a last minute deal (along with the rest of the country Hmm Grin), but we'll probably just save the cash for something spectacular in 2022).

Mirrorxx · 22/05/2020 15:41

So far
Cancelled holiday to India at Easter. Still waiting for most of it to be refunded
Cancelled weekend in Wales next week. Rearranged accommodation for end of the year.
Spain in September. Not confident that will happen.
Cambodia on October. Hope that goes ahead as could lose a lot of money.

I8toys · 22/05/2020 15:41

Easter holiday - German Tour - refunded and moved to next Easter.

Supposed to be flying to Bucharest tonight - Transylvannia is on my bucket list. Refunded hopefully for the flights

Edinburgh Late July - no idea what's happening there

Berlin, Vienna and Bratislava end August - again waiting

Malta October

Marrakech Christmas

Ilikewinter · 22/05/2020 15:43

Should be in the USA right now....instead im painting the kitchen. Holiday booked in October, again in USA so expect that to be cancelled, if so might try Canaries if we can. Potentially got a week off in July and was looking to go within UK but not so sure, sick of reading all the 'stay away you arent welcome or wanted' posts.

DinosApple · 22/05/2020 15:44

Rome cancelled. Awaiting refunds from airlines....
Camping in UK transferred to next year.
B&B one night transferred.

Nothing booked now but hoping to get some day trips in when it is considered safe to do so.

BakewellTarts · 22/05/2020 15:48

So first my brother and his family didn't come over from NZ for Easter as planned for about 6 months.

Secondly our May half term holiday has been cancelled.

Thirdly...well our August trip to Scotland might still happen but it's not looking promising!

Not booking anything else for the rest of 2020. If this madness ends will either go and visit mum (who lives in an AONB) or pick up something late availability.

Youneverknowwhatyourgonnaget · 22/05/2020 15:50

Massive holiday to Florida in October for husbands 40th and just dont know what to do. Do I change to nx year but it’s gone up in price massively or wait and hope for the best? I don’t want to go if social distancing measures are still in place and the enforcement of wearing a mask because it would just be ruined.just don’t know🤷‍♀️

MamaGee09 · 22/05/2020 15:51

We have teenagers and had booked our first family holiday abroad for this summer, it’s been cancelled and we will rebook for next year.

Bit disappointed but nowt we can do about it

Godotsarrived · 22/05/2020 15:54

One cancelled, one moved to next year and one in August still hanging on. Planning to go up to Sutherland in September if allowed.!

FrenchyQ · 22/05/2020 15:55

Me and DH were planning on interrailing the end of July while DS was at cadet camp... Both cancelled.
