Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

I'm good thanks Frownette. Hate bloody packing though. Already been over to mine this morning, had a look and decided not today. So going back to DPs instead. Will have to crack on with it soon though cos probably moving within the month.

Wow you people are really fab, I'll take another coffee and a bacon sarnie into the garden, maybe a cat will join me?

Well it is the weekend so lets skip anything remotely healthy and go for cakes, there is no point employing Florence just to bake bread.

What kind of cakes has our pastry genius come up with for us today?

Morning all.

Well there is some cake left over from yesterday but I thought we could have a nice relaxing start tot eh day with just coffee and cakes and then a brunch about 10.30-11.00.

I'm sorreeee but I fell asleep yesterday evening and when I woke up couldn't get back to sleep!

So I went to tescos after it opened at 6am and got muffins and had a mock mcmuffin.

Cake and coffee sound nice though.

Anyway morning, how is everyone?

Cake for breakfast sounds yummy! Nice and sunny here already, I’ve got a wash out in the garden and pottered around the house. Probably go for a walk later with the little one, our playgrounds aren’t open here which is rather frustrating (council have told me they are open but when I went to the two local ones they were still locked). Anyway, what’s everybody up to today?

I'm going to put some washing on.
I am going to have another look at computer in a bit. I am desperate to get a job. Hoping things will pick up when parents have to go back to work.
Anyone doing anything exciting ?

OK I'm just going to put out a buffet.

egg mayo
vegi quiche
bacon and cheese quiche
onion tartlets
rice and peas
selection of cooked meats and cheeses
portabello mushrooms stuffed with herbs, creme fraische and garlic.

Today's special is potatoes, so bubble and squeak, hash browns, potato cakes. Obviously various egg sausage and bacons to go with them.

@Frownette I was invited to a competition by a face book friend, I came 3 rd.

Sounds amazing @sashh! I'll have all of the potatoes and bacon and sausage. I don't eat egg sadly, wish I did haha!

How is everyone?

Lovely sunny day today! Ooo bubble and squeak sounds delicious, I haven’t had it for years! Although what people define as bubble and squeak differs. I always thought it was potato, cabbage, spring onion with a poached egg on top and possible bacon in it. But I know of people saying that bubble and squeak is everything from a Sunday roast fried in the pan the next day. Either is yummy!😋
