The cafe is still open thread 2

Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

@mogloveseggs hangover is gone! It actually wasn't too bad yesterday either. How are things with you?

How is everyone else doing? Hope you're all ok!

I think I shall have a herbal tea and retire to the garden to look at the kittenbees!

Morning all- celebrations here- baby slept 7.30-6.30 with one waking at 1.30-2! I feel refreshed!

Please can I have a mint tea and happy to have whatever is left. The grilled halloumi sounds amazing! Baby is happy if anyone fancies a play. Glad to see everyone seems to be good this morning.

Morning all.

Well we did Jewish food yesterday so for a complete contrast lets head for Canada. Maple cured bacon, smoked bacon, fried potatoes, toast etc.

I hope all are doing well.

@Frownette oh god moving is bloody hard work you have my sympathy,

Last time I moved I got myself all organised boxed 80% of my stuff and used coloured stickers to denote which box was to go in which room . All good .
A friend came round to give me a hand with the actually moving ( always helps to have a pal with a van ) he brought his 7 yr old little boy with him while we were packing and loading the last of the stuff the LO was playing games on his dad's phone .
But evidently found the unused stickers and stuck them all over the boxes so I had no idea where each box needed to go. Confused

Morning all, not such a good night here. I have my first KIT day today too.... thankfully it's all online.

Can I have a coffee and bacon please?

Moving is hard, I have no tips. We hired a company last move and it was much easier. 2yrs later we are still unpacking 😂 but the house needs work so haven't done all rooms yet.

@mogloveseggs should I supply a virtual packed lunch/supper for your dd? Some biscuits and cake? I know she is having a really bad time at the mo and that sugar probably won't help but I feel helpless to do anything else.

She's at school today. Has gone with a cheese and tomato sandwich, a twix, and a massive bag of salted Doritos and sour cream dip! Teenagers Grin

Some nice treats in there, Florance made macaroons, there is a mini quiche, bulgur wheat salad with pomegranate, mini chocolate cake and crudites with dip

Foir the rest of us - pancakes and waffles.

@AlCalavicci Yes, pancakes and waffles. Any kind of pancake, crepes, scotch, drop scones, american style with sweet or sour fillings / accompaniments.

Well IRL the oven cleaning man has just left, so I will be living on sandwiches because I don't want to spoil the nice clean oven.
