Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

@sashh oh!! Please sit down and relax, the cafe is in capable hands we promise!

Morning all! Sorry I couldn’t pop in yesterday, busy busy busy day.
Anyway, @sashh you must relax! We can look after the cafe for you whilst you relax with the cats and butterflies in the garden whilst listening to the wind chimes! We will bring you endless cups of tea, coffee and cake!

Well I have just had another phone consultation with a different Dr.

She's thinking it might be Mumps, it might be Covid, it might be some other virus. So I'm getting another call later to see if they need swabs.

So I'll just sit here with the cats.

@sashh you rest with the cats and we will sort the cafe.
I'm going to do a high tea if that's ok? Reminds me of visiting relatives as a kid we always had high tea and what a spread it was!
Breads, pork pies, cold meats, best butter, boiled eggs, always a homemade lemon meringue pie, proper chocolate cake and scones
Please all enjoy and I can wrap leftovers for lunches tomorrow too

Another day in the garden for me.

Different Dr yesterday, she could see the swelling so sent me to another practice for obs and a covid test, the HCP there couldn't see any swelling, my carer basically said 'wtf' when I told him. They also don't test for covid.

My own GP has no Mumps swabs so are phoning round to find one.

I'm having a left over pork pie int he garden, I think we have a small group of kitten bees.

(kitten bees are the size of bees but are stripy kittens with wings, not to be confused with Bumble cats)

Hopefully you’ll have a bit more progress today @sashh.

Miserable day here today, lots of rain already. I thing planned apart from dropping a parcel off at the post office, I’ll walk up when/if there’s a break in the rain.

I’ll make us some eggy bread and a latte @sashh. Anyone else fancy joining us?!

Oh I’ve checked out the Next sale online this morning (I have been really looking forward to it!) I normally buy ds clothes for next year but there’s absolutely nothing I like! I’ve got vouchers to spend too but don’t want to buy stuff for the sake of it, I want to buy clothes that will be used. I’m very disheartened

@sassh they sound very unorganised i do hope you get some answers soon! Kitten bees eh? Reminds me of rocking horse flies from Alice in wonderland might watch it with Ds later

I've deleted all the dating apps off my phone for the time being. I've realised that I actually don't want to have to give time to anyone else but me for the next while. Went on two dates which I'm pretty proud of myself of, and in typical me fashion managed to end up being very friendly with one of them but zero attraction ahaha! I'm going to learn to drive and buy a car instead. Ex still owes me money from the joint car but he hasn't transferred it over and is looking unlikely to do so ever, so I'm just letting it go. Need to move on.
The plus side is I have lost a good bit of weight and am starting to feel comfortable in my own skin again. Thinking about joining the gym as well.

I'm throwing on a pot of tea and then I'm going to sit in the garden several meters away from @sashh and the kitten bees and relax. Anyone care to join us?

@NoGravyForYou very unsettled at the moment. Dd dad threw her out as she didn't come home one night-he's always beaten me with the stick of she's always good for me so it's just male pride/stupidity as he's not engaging with anyone won't answer messages or anything which is so useful.
Dd is currently staying with her big sister on her dads side but I'm heavily involved and have rung social services for some help. They think we've been failed so far so at least I know I'm not going mad and hopefully can gee up camhs/school and we can properly help Dd and the whole family.
On the plus side we went to the beach last night and had a lovely time the 4 of us- that's the 2 of them in the waves. They then sat down in it

Glad you are feeling better @sashh, I will take a pain au chocolate and retire to a quiet corner because I am studying. I have booked my driving theory test ( do you have that in the UK!) so I'm currently doing practice goes online and failing each time ahaha! This may seem like a tiny deal to most people but it's a big deal for me and I feel like I'm finally claiming some independence in the world.

@NoGravyForYou from what I remember of the theory test 23 a few years ago, the sensible answer wasn't the right one most of the time

@mogloveseggs and NoGravy I'm so old I didn't have to do a theory test for either bike or car licence.

I have done the online version to see how well I would do and I even got the question about what you need to do in a tunnel right (re tune your radio)

The beach photo is beautiful! It’s miserable with rain here, luckily I got to mow the garden before it came down though.
I sat my driving test many years ago, I honestly don’t think I’d pass now, I hate driving! I used to love driving but just don’t like it anymore, I’ve become a really anxious driver.
