Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

@PinkDaydreams ah that's a shame but the roads are definitely so much busier.
I'm happy to drive but don't particularly like motorways as they're boring. Regularly before lockdown used tomdribe to scotland/wales/down south for holidays and I'm the only driver dh doesn't drive. Only concession is that if I say we need to break the journey for a night we do it no arguments

Ooo I’ll have some eggy bread please with a dollop of brown sauce and a steaming hot mug of tea any plans today? Is anyone going to a pub/restaurant/cafe or even to have their hair done?! Personally I’m avoiding pubs etc, I think they’re going to be so busy.

I forgot the playgrounds are meant to be open again! There’s two nearby so I’ll go have a look this morning and if any of them are quiet my little one can have a play!

The swelling is still here but on its way down.

So time for a proper fry up, and as people come from all parts of the UK and beyond this will have options for bubble and squeak, square sausage, oat cakes, potato cakes and farls.

What's a coddled egg?

@mogloveseggs I’m so glad you’ve asked as I also don’t know what a coddled egg is!!

From googling it looks like a coddled egg is similar to a poached egg.

LOL what is it with the lack of egg cooking knowledge? The last time it was convent eggs.

I have had to accept that I can no longer eat bread in real life, so I'm just popping in here to have a virtual cheese on toast 😍 Anyone else want some while I have the grill on?

OK I'm expanding the eggs, I'm now making French toast, egg in a basket, cloud eggs on toast, Japanese rolled omelette (yes IRL I have a square omelette pan) and baked in avocado.

Florence has made a selection of breads to toast, dip in the eggs, or for the eggs to sit on.

Been a while since I popped in. How are you all? Are the eggs still available? One of my chickens died last week and my other ladies have gone on strike! So had to get eggs from my cousins ladies... we eat a lot of eggs here.

I'm currently sat rocking baby for 2nd time tonight- but he slept in his bed... last few weeks it's been in bed with me and lots of wakings... so huge improvement. Happy to hand him over so I can have a break from rocking
