Be honest, would you change it? Pictured attached

It's my nose. I've always felt so uncomfortable by it. I'm unsure if it's a genuine unsightly nose, because let's be honest some of us do just have not so nice features, or if I'm a bit warped and it's fine.

I've read that noses have names but I've never seen one that matches mine. At all.

Would you change it? I'm very happy to receive negative criticism on my nose. I know myself that it isn't pretty Smile just wondering if you'd bother with surgery? I would have the cash to do it soon I hope

You have a bridge. I don't.

Piggy little button nose here.

My glasses have nothing to sit on and I have to wear sports bands at work to stop them sliding off.

peperethecat · 19/05/2020 15:50

I think your nose is cute!

Heartlake · 19/05/2020 15:50

Your nose is lovely. Genuinely it gives your face character. Look at pictures of Leona Lewis before and after her nose job, I think it took all of the character out of her face.

Bassethound · 19/05/2020 15:52

You are lovely looking and your nose suits you.

I actually had a nose job and regret it. I used to have terrible self esteem when I was younger and instead of addressing the issue through therapy, I went down the plastic surgery route thinking it would make me feel better. It didn’t. I was horribly depressed for a while after I had my nose job as I naively thought it’d give me a confidence boost and Id feel beautiful after having it done.

In hindsight, my ‘old’ nose was fine. It was a Roman nose but it suited my face; I now have a smaller, almost button nose which looks alright but I’ve lost a lot of the character my face used to have. I look at old photos of me in my 20s when I thought I was hideous and I’m kicking myself as I actually looked quite pretty.

Long story short...don’t do it OP. You are beautiful as you are.

geojojo · 19/05/2020 15:52

I honestly think it's a very attractive nose! You have a lovely profile.

DisappearingGirl · 19/05/2020 15:53

I too think you are very pretty and your nose is lovely and fits your face.

I think it's really sad that women are being conditioned that they have to all look the same - including a tiny nose.

My nose has a big bump - definitely a roman nose - and objectively I could say I'd prefer it smaller and neater. However ... it's my nose! My aunt has a side-view picture of my lovely nan in her hall and she has the same nose, as do my lovely mum and brother. My kids will likely have the same nose. I could opt to change mine but I think it would be a shame.

Parkandride · 19/05/2020 15:55

It really suits you! It's not the tiniest button nose but it's a nice nose, honest!

Rhinoplasty sounds horrible, and expensive, and I think it can change over time maybe, might be wrong, so it might only be a temporary fix. There's some none surgical options but I think they're more for crooked noses. Don't do anything to it, it's not necessary

msmith501 · 19/05/2020 15:59

A good nose. Pretty and strong. You're an attractive person - believe in that and yourself. No operation needed and in fact it would be a big mistake!!

IncrediblySadToo · 19/05/2020 16:00

@incognitomum

I'm nearly 52 and still got it!

Fabulous for you. Do you feel better for making others feel shit? Does it mean the OP shouldn't just make the most of her youthful good looks? What's your point, other than to make others feel bad?

PilatesPeach · 19/05/2020 16:01

It is not wide - mine is wide like a pair of sunglasses here!

tinkerbellla · 19/05/2020 16:02

You have a great nose!

pussycatinboots · 19/05/2020 16:04

If you're seriously going to change it, I think you should consider this first. Hmm

There is nothing wrong with your nose.

It's a nose.

onesmalldog · 19/05/2020 16:06

If it makes you unhappy and you can afford to change it do it, but I really don't see a problem with it.

When I was in my 20s I was obsessed with changing my nose - I liked it apart from the bump in the middle. I never had it done and now I'm in my 50s I really love my nose and wouldn't change it for anything. I do think I would have regretted having it done but of course I don't know for sure.

NoMoreTwistNoMoreTwist · 19/05/2020 16:06

As others have said, perfectly normal nose, nothing wrong with it at all.
Leave it be.

GeorginaEstonia · 19/05/2020 16:06

Have you thought about taking up a hobby? Maybe gardening or jogging? There’s nothing remarkable about your nose.

AvalancheKit · 19/05/2020 16:07

All I can see is a young Julia Roberts and a massive smile.

You will need a shitty stick to hold the men back.

YinuCeatleAyru · 19/05/2020 16:09

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with your nose. If you have surgery to change it, you will not be any happier because you will realise that the problem was never your nose in the first place. You may at that point latch on to a different feature that is "wrong" - it's not healthy. You have invested emotional energy in blaming the shape of your nose for general existential anxiety which doesn't actually have a root in the shape of any part of your body, but would exist whatever shape each component is.

onesmalldog · 19/05/2020 16:09

Bassethound

Yes, mine could be called a Roman nose and I do feel I wouldn't have the character if I had had it done - how I longed for the delicate retrousse nose that everyone else in my family seemed to have!

Becstar90 · 19/05/2020 16:09

No

InAGarden · 19/05/2020 16:13

I think you have a lovely nose that suits your very pretty face.. the only thing I would suggest is think about giving up smoking which will damage your skin ( not that you asked)...it’s advice I would have given my younger self. You really are lovely as you are.

InAGarden · 19/05/2020 16:17

Sorry just realised you meant smile not smoke!
Anyway you look great.

ElectricTonight · 19/05/2020 16:17

I think you look great! Don't change it.

shockthemonkey · 19/05/2020 16:18

You have a beautiful face.

Nose and all.

Try to make friends with your nose! Don't carve it up...

MyCatHatesEverybody · 19/05/2020 16:18

So many famous women have tiny, narrow noses nowadays (along with the overplumped lips), it all looks so odd.

You look fine as you are OP.

TrickyKid · 19/05/2020 16:18

No wouldn't. It's a perfectly nice nose. I think you're seeing things other people don't notice.
