ITonyah · 18/05/2020 16:23

My 14 year old dd has just started really enjoying films. She hates anything in the least bit scary.

She's enjoyed
Devil wears Prada, Clueless, 10 things I hate about you, Booksmart

Basically rom coms!

Any ideas?

Love Actually has those porn actors in it so maybe not that! I almost forget every Xmas when I want to watch it with my dd! Lol there's a convo you might not want to have yet!

thismeansnothing · 18/05/2020 16:40

Sorry just seen that she's seen 10 things ......

Mama mia
The shopaholic films

ITonyah · 18/05/2020 16:43

About a boy is an excellent shout, thank you.

She doesn't mind a bit edgy and I dont mind either so cruel intentions might work

I accidentally saw something called Murder Mystery with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler recently - funny and tolerable for you as well!
How on earth they got Jenifer Aniston to do it at all is remarkable and how they got her to play a plain jersey housewife so convincingly is even more astonishing- she’s clearly not vain and is a decent comic actress.

About Time

Defenestratethecat · 18/05/2020 16:49

What about some quirky stuff like
Faintheart
Juno
Princess Bride
Full Monty (bit of swearing but not too bad)

Menaimum · 18/05/2020 16:53

Drop dead gorgeous

Not quite romcoms, strong comic young women with underlying strength.
