My 14 year old dd has just started really enjoying films. She hates anything in the least bit scary.

She's enjoyed
Devil wears Prada, Clueless, 10 things I hate about you, Booksmart

Basically rom coms!

Any ideas?

Not rftft but Mean Girls. Dd saw it about then and has loved it since. How is she with really old films? Bringing up baby is on iPlayer atm.

I love Sandra Bullock so:

The Proposal - Fond memories of mum and I laughing at this one.
While you were sleeping
Two weeks Notice
Practical Magic

Also loved Diane Keaton in Because I said so. There is mention of Orgams (She is a mum and has never had one and asks one of her daughters what it is like). She tries to take over her daughters' lives with hilarious results.

Somethings Gotta Give - Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Keanu Reeves. Jack's character dating much younger females including Diane's character's daughter. He has a heart attack and is attended by Keanu's character.

The family Stone. One of the Stone guys is dating Sarah Jessica Parker's character. The rest of the family are not impressed and make her feel as uncomfortable as possible. Diane Keaton is the mum. Poor Sarah gets more and more awkward and is even accused of racism.

And of course there is always Doris Day - A touch of mink, Pillow Talk, Lover come back, The thrill of it all - look out for Rock Hudson's face when he drives home and hasn't been told there is a swimming pool where he normally parks. His face as he drives into the pool was magic!

I think Doris Day was a briliant comic.

Heartbreaker with Romain Duris and Vanessa Paradis and she can practice her French at the same time.

Ever after... it’s Cinderella, but she saves herself, and funny...

It’s not high art, but quite amusing, Extraordinary on Netflix. Low budget Irish film, bit of cheesy horror, can watch with mum without cringing.
