Why is my neighbour doing this?

... (I am curtain twitching for sure).

He is pressure-washing the leaves of his trees and his hedge. he has done it about every 2-3 days for a couple of weeks now.

I am finding it a little odd, but there may be a reason for it.

🤷‍♀️

borntohula · 15/05/2020 16:17

He is an alien.

TheSandman · 15/05/2020 16:18

We need to see this! Film him!

CobblersPose · 15/05/2020 16:18

Lean over the fence and shout "OY wotcha doing?"

Windyatthebeach · 15/05/2020 16:19

Maybe he thinks CV has landed there?

Frankiegoestocornwall · 15/05/2020 16:19

What on earth!
This is why curtain twitching is interesting. Gets a bad rep on MN but I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a nose at the neighbours

madcatladyforever · 15/05/2020 16:19

Perhaps he really really hates birds and is flushing them out, or maybe just having a psychotic episode.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 15/05/2020 16:21
Shock

How strange!

abstractzebra · 15/05/2020 16:22

Maybe he's got caterpillars 🐛
I think it's around this time that they make those weird 'tents' and strip all the leaves 🍁

imsooverthisdrama · 15/05/2020 16:22

Because he's bored Grin
Thankfully I'm not that bored yet !!

titsbumfannythelot · 15/05/2020 16:25

He's bored out of tits like the rest of us?

theoldtrout01876 · 15/05/2020 16:31

I did this when I had scale mites on my cherry tree. I used to literally blast them off the branches. Fixed the problem too

HardAsSnails · 15/05/2020 16:31

Might be hosing off greenfly?

Watering them?

480Widdio · 15/05/2020 16:37

Lol @hiredandsqueak

wowfudge · 15/05/2020 16:39

Is he maybe using a hose with a spray attachment and just watering them?

thecatneuterer · 15/05/2020 16:41

I would also guess scaly mites or similar

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 15/05/2020 16:43

Yes, I think it’s done sort of bug problem. My scummy neighbours have a tree that attracts green flies. Absolute pain in the arse as they end up on my vegetable patches.

GreenTeaMug · 15/05/2020 16:50

Bugs woudl make some sort of sense (I think).

No not a hose with attachment Grin

Full on pressure washing. he started by pressure washing his patio then seemed to get over excited. It's like what happens when i get my pruning shears out.

oooooh!!! I want to know! One of our neighbours is doing this too - it sprays out into the main road over his fence and hits all the cars. Thing is though, he does it for maybe an hour at a time ....?!

guessmyusername · 15/05/2020 16:53

Maybe he has a new toy to play with (like my dh)

GreenTeaMug · 15/05/2020 16:55

[returns from window]

There seem to be more leaves on the ground than on the trees now.

I could ask him I guess. But we don't have that sort of relationship.

Have we the same neighbour? Does he dust the flower petals like mine and clean out the shed and car every 5 hours regardless of day or night.

GreenTeaMug · 15/05/2020 16:56

car and garage cleaning sounds familiar.....dusting petals- not that I have noticed. And I would have...
