....who is looking after the children?

OP posts:

Totally, try Google.

NerdImmunity · 05/05/2020 09:27

I'm sure I saw an instagram vid from Joe a week or so ago and he was saying they don't have a Nanny or anything so I don't think it was the Nanny. I imagine a playpen with an ipad to keep the eldest quiet and in place and the baby was probably napping.

lottiegarbanzo · 05/05/2020 09:28

I'd bet nanny. They're both completely relaxed and into what they're doing. They're not listening, or vigilant, at all. They must 'know' the child care is covered.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 05/05/2020 09:29

I'm sure he's mentioned his brother setting up the camera or something, so maybe they live together or have isolated together.

Yes, that's what I thought. If the kids were just napping or in a playpen on their own Rosie and Joe would no way be that relaxed.

Natsku · 05/05/2020 09:32

Playpen and/or tv, those work for my toddler anyway

dottiedodah · 05/05/2020 09:36

I think they must have a Nanny surely? (Unless they are locked up in the Pantry )LOL! Its only half an hour or so ,and as other PP have said may be napping or being entertained by that virtual worldwide virtual Nanny Peppa Pig!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 05/05/2020 09:38

His brother Nikki on the phone on the air pods is in his house. I also wondered who was looking after the children. I’m guessing they won’t say. Because it will be breaking lockdown. But they aren’t listening for the children so they know they are safe. They don’t have a nanny. They’ve said that before, I think it’s a family member in the kitchen.

Bagelsandbrie · 05/05/2020 09:39

I don’t think they have a Nanny. The kids go everywhere with them- they go all over the world just the 4 of them and the kids seem as chilled out as they are. I reckon the kids are just off camera, the baby is probably napping and the older one is probably bribed to be quiet with tons of chocolate and an iPad just like many other parents would do!

ANoiseAnnoys · 05/05/2020 09:46

Isn’t it funny how I haven’t even watched anything at all about these people or seen their videos yet I knew OP was talking about Joe wicks and his wife?

Has he become an overnight national treasure? Will he get an OBE or something after this I wonder?

HarrietTheShy · 05/05/2020 09:48

There was a recent article about nannies still working, but from an American POV: www.thecut.com/2020/04/nannies-working-during-coronavirus.html

theruffles · 05/05/2020 09:52

I don't think they have a nanny. The youngest is probably napping and the older child could be just off camera with an iPad or watching TV to keep her entertained for a short time.

Dyrne · 05/05/2020 09:53

ANoiseAnnoys yes I was just thinking that. I’ve not been watching or doing the videos but it’s been pretty well covered in the media so all it takes is the word “PE” for me to click that “Joe” is “Joe Wicks” and from context that “Rosie” must be his wife/partner.

I refuse to call him a national treasure though. I’ve decided that the term is far too overused nowadays so I’ve taken it upon myself to privately vet any future “National Treasure” candidates to ensure they make the grade to Safeguard the “national treasure” status and ensure it doesn’t get watered down just by whoever is flavour-of-the-week. Sadly I don’t think anyone else is nearly convinced as to the legitimacy of my opinion however it’s Keeping me occupied in lockdown and that’s the main thing Grin

IndiaMay · 05/05/2020 09:54

I expect baby is napping and Indie is in a play pen in view but off camera for a half hour. They both seem very relaxed at parenting, always taking them on long haul holidays just the 2 of them. They put them in a push chair, let them fall asleep on the walk to dinner and then eat late with them asleep at the table. They're chilled, it's the way to go.

Mulhollandmagoo · 05/05/2020 09:56

They've always been pretty straight that they don't have nannies, but quite often his little girl is running around on camera with him, and his little boy is only tiny so maybe naptime?

Backtolifebacktoreality99 · 05/05/2020 10:00

They must be fairly well off. If I was I would totally get a nanny, so no judgement from me...

I take calls whilst kids are watching a film so I don’t think it’s impossible.

RiftGibbon · 05/05/2020 10:01

Off-topic but I was wondering if anyone else thinks he sounds like Alan Carr?
I would love Alan Carr to do a workout...

CamCurls · 05/05/2020 10:20

Yesterday one of them said the children were still asleep after a late night.

Aesopfable · 05/05/2020 10:27

If Joe is doing PE, who looks after the children?

WoeIsMee · 05/05/2020 10:28

So what if they do have a nanny though?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/05/2020 10:29

If Joe is at home recovering, then I expect he is looking after the children.

earlydoors42 · 05/05/2020 10:30

He isn't a national treasure for me, after using the phrase "the wonderful Margaret Thatcher".

zigaziga · 05/05/2020 10:33

I was wondering this too.

Yes baby could be in a bouncer, older one with TV babysitter but surely in 30 mins one or the other would start crying or calling out for attention or help? / older one want a snack or to see what is going on and wander in?

I’m sure I could randomly get mine to not need attention for 30 mins during the course of a whole day but not the exact 30 minutes of my choosing.

SimpleKindofLife · 05/05/2020 10:34

The baby might be watching them in the bouncer just off camera, the older one might've been in front of the tv with a load of snacks. It's only 30 mins! Joe was probably on hand to help if one of them needed them.

mondaynoon · 05/05/2020 10:35

I don't understand why Rosie is described as a teaching assistant. Is Joe a qualified teacher?
