I didn't realise she was due already. Baby boy born this morning!

OP posts:
SeperatedSwans · 29/04/2020 19:00

I say congratulations and I hope mum and baby are doing well.

With regards to the discussion on "illegitemate" child you could also use "bastard" ...but please, this is 2020. A child is a child, and something to be celebrating not labelling with archaic terms 🙄

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 19:04

I've met plenty of so-called human beings who were not even legitimate animals, personally.

And again, can you imagine a reality thread from Carrie would go down on MN:
Hi, I had an affair with a married bloke 25-years-older than I am who has 4 kids, some less than 10-years-younger than I am. Well, now I'm pregnant and it is just sooo stressful because we had to rush through his divorce from his second wife and might not have time to get married before baby arrives (I've been promoted to fiancee, so no nasty references like mistress or OW), and I just need some support dealing with all this.

I'm so sure there'd be nothing but congratulations, hun, a baby is always a blessing! What a beautiful familam you have created. You poor woman! I mean, juggling your serial cheater man, all his kids and being pregnant during a pandemic SO hard!

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 19:08

She could add in some other tidbits of info like, well, 4 kids with his second wife, he might have more but he's so quiet about it all! His second wife, well, she's one to talk, she was doing the deed with him when he was still married to his first wife, what did she expect? Gah! But of course, it's so different with us, it's true love.

The response on here would be legend.

SeaWitchly · 29/04/2020 19:14

Who cares. The real story is 22k dead, lack of PPE and pandemic crisis plan ignored when it predicted the NHS was critically under resourced and would be unable to manage.

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 19:16

Come now, Sea, you can't bring all that up, you're soooooo nasty Grin, you need to say congratulations it's all so beautiful.

TeddyIsaHe · 29/04/2020 19:17

26k dead.

Boris has a fab habit of changing news stories when it all gets a bit shit doesn’t he? There’ll be another pregnancy around brexit day no doubt. Or maybe he’ll fall off his bike this time.

TheWordWomanIsTaken · 29/04/2020 19:27

Yes, I think he is - his ex wife was able to apply for a decree absolute end of Feb
No, they reached a financial settlement at the end of February paving the way for the divorce.
Actually, illegitimacy has no basis in law whatsoever. So you’re talking total rubbish. Hope that fact helps!
Wrong, it does, hence when biological parents who were not married at the time of the birth are legally required to re-register the birth if they subsequently marry. To legitimise the birth. See the Legitimacy Act 1976.
So whether you find it distasteful or not, you cannot simply deny the legislation.
Hope this fact helps.

HalfTermHalfTerm · 29/04/2020 19:34

@TheWordWomanIsTaken my mistake, I thought they had had it finalised. My point was more that Boris and Marina are separated now, and he is with Carrie and has been officially for over a year now. Regardless of how they got together (I’m not condoning an affair at all, but they happen and I believe that’s how his relationship with MW started) they are a ‘proper’ couple now so there is no need for the poster I was addressing to refer to her as his mistress. Even if you don’t consider it to be misogynistic it’s incorrect!

ducksback · 29/04/2020 19:36

You poor woman! I mean, juggling your serial cheater man, all his kids and being pregnant during a pandemic SO hard!

This is foul. Just what is wrong with you?

Alsohuman · 29/04/2020 19:37

Is it incorrect? That nasty piece of work, James Goldsmith, said that when a man marries his mistress, he creates a vacancy.

notchickenagain · 29/04/2020 19:39

So have we established that Boris is the first unmarried father at no 10? Apologies if it's already been discussed, I lost where I was halfway through the thread.

ducksback · 29/04/2020 19:40

You have no compassion. You are now attacking the mother of the baby you called illegitmate at just hours old. Can you not see an issue here?

You are filled with hate.

CendrillonSings · 29/04/2020 19:43

You are filled with hate.

A lot of his political opponents are, unfortunately. They just can’t handle how thoroughly they got crushed by Boris, and so will do anything to drag him down. I pity them, frankly.

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 19:46

Oh, mind reader is back! Assigning all manner of emotion and intensity to random internet sprites. Hmm And the usual Tory mouthpieces, where did Clavinova go? We'll see SilverySurfer here soon.

Clavinova · 29/04/2020 19:46

No, they reached a financial settlement at the end of February paving the way for the divorce.

Marina Wheeler was granted permission to apply for her decree absolute out of time (more than 12 months had elapsed since the decree nisi) in Feb - takes 24 hours online I think, why would she delay?

ducksback · 29/04/2020 19:47

Tbh Cendrillon I am no big fan of his having always voted Labour until they made me politically homeless! But anyone with an ounce of humanity in them can see that the utter vileness about Boris Johnson's family is just so far out of line.

I think I pity them too.

ducksback · 29/04/2020 19:48

peppermint you have the debating skills of a 6 year old.

CendrillonSings · 29/04/2020 19:48

Oh, mind reader is back! Assigning all manner of emotion and intensity to random internet sprites.

No, just a word reader - it’s the most obvious conclusion in the world from the torrent of bile spewed on here!

Sweetiepye · 29/04/2020 19:48

@cantory @sweetiepye Have you forgotten that we were told he was working from his hospital bed before going into ICU?”

No, I hadn’t forgotten. That’s why I put “Perhaps you think he should have carried on working from his bed in ICU?“, rather than just his hospital bed! I was well aware that it had been reported that he had continued to work in hospital before being admitted to ICU.

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 19:51

It's a good thing this is not a debate forum then, duck. You certainly don't take things like water on a duck's back 🤣🤣. Read the thread, Cendrillion, duck's invested hours into the inner psychological workings of random internet sprites. And when that rolls off some like the proverbial water on a duck's back then turns to insulting anything else he/she can think of in less than 10 seconds.

ducksback · 29/04/2020 20:11

peppermint What sort of forum do you think this is if it is not full of people debating things?

ducksback · 29/04/2020 20:11

Also - you are projecting hugely.

Alsohuman · 29/04/2020 20:14

peppermint you have the debating skills of a 6 year old

Oh, the irony.

TinRoofRusty · 29/04/2020 20:16

It's all manner of things, duck, I mean, food, telly, style and beauty (although I've seen threads explode on there with influencers or paid bots starting threads), pregnancy, childbirth, mental health. It's a different forum for almost every user. Oh, I forgot about the Coronavirus topic!

ducksback · 29/04/2020 20:26

Yes and all of those different forums are full of people debating things!
