Ravioli on Toast.

It’s wrong isn’t it? My DH thinks it’s a Good Thing. The tinned stuff in sauce. Not the lovely Buitoni type with the mince in the sauce ( which should be enjoyed in a bowl with a shake of Tabasco) but the Heinz stuff. I like it on its own. He insists on toast. Grim ?

No. It’s the comfort food of the gods

HardAsSnails · 28/04/2020 16:52

Not wrong at all. Lovely.

GreyGardens88 · 28/04/2020 16:52

I had tinned ravioli from Lidl for the first time the other day as a change from soup for lunch, it was absolutely disgusting never again!

Its meant to be eaten on toast, like beans or tinned spaghetti.

Im still sad that morrisons stopped making their own brand as it was lovely with a meat sauce too.

M0nstermunch · 28/04/2020 16:53

It's lovely especially with melted cheese 😀

Grumpbum123 · 28/04/2020 16:54

Add cheese and you’ve got comfort food

Spied · 28/04/2020 16:54

Always had it on toast as a child but thinking of it now it's a bit grim.
I'd say alone in a bowl now.

ch3rrycola · 28/04/2020 16:55

I have mine in a bowl and dip my (cold) toast into it. Same with beans.

DrCoconut · 28/04/2020 16:57

Monstermunch beat me to it. Add cheese and it's everything you could wish for in a comfort meal.

TrashPanda · 28/04/2020 16:58

DP eats that sort of thing too, it looks gross. He outdid himself the other day with a tin of own brand spaghetti hoops and sausages heated up with a drained tin of new potatoes, it was a new low Grin

Candyfloss99 · 28/04/2020 17:00

Always on toast.

eggofmantumbi · 28/04/2020 17:00

I've got a can in the cupboard and now I'm thinking I'll do that for lunch tomorrow!

Lostvoiced · 28/04/2020 17:02

God I haven't had that in ages.
Little bit of cheese (or in my case an unhealthy amount of cheese) on top. Ugh now I'm hungry!

Yesterdayforgotten · 28/04/2020 17:03

Carb on carb op naughty but lovely 111

DarkPassenger · 28/04/2020 17:03

It's a perfect lazy meal especially with a dab of mustard stirred in and grated cheese on top. Thanks OP, I know what I'm having for tea tonight Grin

Yesterdayforgotten · 28/04/2020 17:03

Minus the 111 on the end!

iklboo · 28/04/2020 17:05

DS's 'sick bed' lunch.

Yes I knew straight away you meant the tinned stuff. Not wrong atall, I used to love it. Ditto the tinned spaghetti Bolognese and the Mac cheese. I’m talking Heinz.

msmith501 · 28/04/2020 17:08

Grew up on it and it's lovely.

Hillbillyhotel · 28/04/2020 17:08

You’ve made me really want this for dinner. With Lurpak on the toast. Definitely having this, thanks OP!

SistemaAddict · 28/04/2020 17:09

Oooh I'd love some veggie ravioli on toast right now!

Autumnchill · 28/04/2020 17:15

Oh I haven't had this for ages and now I want it!!!! (With cheese of course)

VenusTiger · 28/04/2020 17:19
