The lovable little scamp...

the old man lady Be careful or the gender police will be after you.

BirdieFriendReturns · 22/04/2020 09:36

“Birdie friend says a big rock is going to hit the earth soon and then it’ll just be darkness.”

DH and DS made me some cinnamon danishes for breakfast in bed and DS decided to push BF in my face and tell me that.

Thank goodness the asteroid is going to miss the earth the earth. I was worried for a moment Grin

Rebelwithallthecause · 22/04/2020 09:43

Funny though, as when we were out last night watching the stars, we saw a few shooting stars and I said well that’s close enough to burn up in our atmosphere, doesn’t need to be too much closer to do some damage

BirdieFriendReturns · 22/04/2020 10:16

It’s just funny how BF “knew” about the asteroid isn’t it? I read that online a couple of weeks ago but I didn’t tell DH.

@Rebelwithallthecause

They were probably the Starlink Satellites they're whizzing around the planet and that link will show you when the best time to see them is. I think they're back just after 11pm tonight.

Re: BFs newest prediction, Should I use up all my holiday allowance from work then? I don't want to spend my final days working from home when I could instead be contemplating my own imminent death like a Greek philosopher.

JaneJeffer · 22/04/2020 11:21

Can BF give us a clue when it's happening so I'll know what time to hit the vodka?

StackofBeans · 22/04/2020 11:49

Seriously, OP, if you haven't figured out that your toddler is upset that you're having another baby and has found a way of getting attention, maybe you should consider it.

Connie222 · 22/04/2020 11:53

But the predicted baby girl pregnancy isn’t here yet, is it?

StackofBeans · 22/04/2020 11:55

Oh, I thought the OP was actually pregnant -- my mistake.

Rebelwithallthecause · 22/04/2020 11:59

We saw the satellites in a line too but they’re very different from shooting stars.
They fly across in a different direction and much brighter and just for a short distance

Rebelwithallthecause · 22/04/2020 12:00

Could BF have seen some random news channel that mentions about an asteroid? (Long shot)

Reginabambina · 22/04/2020 12:12

@Rebelwithallthecause that would have been the lyrid meteor shower. Stuff is burning up in our atmosphere all the time. When is comes to damage it’s more a question if size than proximity.

FreeKitties · 22/04/2020 12:15

Ok so my DH banned me from reading the last BF thread because I was scaring myself (another forces wife btw and I ended up going down the rabbit hole of haunted married quarters !)

And I'm going to scare myself on this thread too Grin

Thanks for coming back OP!

Rebelwithallthecause · 22/04/2020 12:25

Yes the meteor shower was what we were out for. We’d seen some a few nights before when looking at the satellites and then found they were going to be most viable last night. Amazing having such clear skies right now

I’m with you FreeKitties :)

Although, the thought suddenly occurred the other day that in MN land BF is really just your Garden variety Cheeky Fucker.

No, i don’t like that, make me something fishy & cheesy, ‘Take me to the Wedding - the full do not just the hotel room! I’m coming on holiday with you, Curry & Tonic Water lest i catch Maleria, KFC & make it snappy! !Don’t put me on a newspaper and look at me - how very dare you???

And that’s on top of scaring a nursery full of toddlers when it was still open with predictions of utter doom let alone us lot here :)

BirdieFriendReturns · 24/04/2020 23:12

We now appear to have acquired a black cat. Yes, he’s real and not a spirit cat. I just hope BF doesn’t harm him. Sad

OP posts:
EmpressMcSchnozzle · 25/04/2020 00:37

Well, considering both of our cats currently seem to think they're on permanent "scare scarey things away" duty and have just scared the socks off us by apparently seeing something in the bathroom that we couldn't, I think the arrival of Black Cat might be a good sign from the spirit world??

ItsABitOfAShitFightMate · 25/04/2020 09:24

Ooh, please post a picture of the black cat! (Next to today’s newspaper, obviously.)

muckandnettles · 25/04/2020 09:54

Thanks for coming back, I really enjoyed the last thread and BF wasn't far off in his terrible predictions at all. It now all seems less crazy!

EmpressMcSchnozzle · 25/04/2020 13:47

Seconded for the black cat pic, please. Have you named him yet?

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 25/04/2020 17:29

Have you named him yet?

It’s got to be PussyFriend surely 😉

iklboo · 25/04/2020 17:34

He will be BF's familiar, don't worry.

BemidjiMinnesota · 25/04/2020 18:36

Dont worry, Birdie Friend won't be able to hurt the cat. He has no intrinsic physical power so can hardly hop across the floor and stab kitty with his pin. The cat might warn you when there's a ghostly presence around too.
