Has anyone seen it? (You'll know if you have!)

As a professional marketeer, I can only assume that their marketing team are on meth.

I dont even have the fucking words...

(Apologies if there's already a thread)

Oh my word. What were they thinking???

PorpentiaScamander · 19/04/2020 18:35

I saw this for the 1st and only time yesterday with 15 year old DS. We just looked at each other in stunned silence. Although it was not as bad as the advert for lube that always seems to come on when I'm watching tv with 13 year old ds. Hes so embarrassed by the mere thought of vaginal dryness Grin

Destroyer · 19/04/2020 18:35

I’ve always said that to people who say they can’t use tampax anyway .. “push it up higher and you won’t feel it”

That’s not necessarily true anyway, because the string can rub and be uncomfortable.

Flatbellyfella · 19/04/2020 18:42

Well !!!! I never knew that. How interesting.Wink

TheoriginalLEM · 19/04/2020 18:45

Me and Dp sat agog while this came on in the middle of BGT last night. Fortunately pur 14yo DD was plugged in to her phone. She would have been mortified and we are extremely open about this sort of thing.

Disgusting

Destroyer · 19/04/2020 19:37

Maybe it's my profession (related to womens health) but I definitely don't feel all pearl clutchy over a tampon ad. Or did I miss something obvious?

Just because we don’t like it, it doesn’t automatically mean that we’re Pearl clutchy or embarrassed. There've been plenty of reasons on this thread - not least teenage boys copying this to embarrass girls.

Gtugccbjb · 19/04/2020 21:50

Destroyer

You must have a tighter fanny than anyone I know if you can feel the string

HeIsAVeryBadBoy · 19/04/2020 22:07

Oof. That's bad

RainbowMum11 · 19/04/2020 22:09

Oh my goodness - seriously? That's awful

Beansandcoffee · 19/04/2020 22:14

I was watching TV with my teenage sons when this came on and I thought what the fuck. Already that night I had watched an advert about vaginal dryness and then bladder weakness and now this advert. Who the fuck wants to be a women! What about some adverts on erectile disfunction, saggy balls and bladder weakness for men. Or do they not suffer?

Bringonspring · 19/04/2020 22:20

Wow, just wow

Beansandcoffee · 19/04/2020 22:21

What the fuck!?

“Not just the tip, up to the grip”

A man wrote that. 100%.

It’s an obscene play on oral sex too. Just crude and yes teenage boys will be saying it to girls.

Elderflower14 · 19/04/2020 22:23

Yup terrible... Ranks with Jenny Éclair banging on about her vaginal dryness!!! 🤯 🤯 🤯 🤯 🤯

Nix32 · 19/04/2020 22:25

It's awful. Please complain to Advertising Standards.

Destroyer · 20/04/2020 21:50

Really? Hmm

Why must women's genitals always be turned into a slur or an insult?

changemynamechangemynamewhen · 25/04/2020 10:06

My husband was telling me about this advert. It sounded so ridiculous I said don't be silly dear you must have been dreaming

Then I saw it...bloody hell

MarieQueenofScots · 25/04/2020 10:18

There already are adverts about two out of the three of those. Don’t worry, men aren’t losing out 🙄

Happymum12345 · 25/04/2020 10:27

It’s got as all talking about it, so the advertisers must know a thing or two!

RainbowMum11 · 02/05/2020 02:13

I absolutely hate it. It is memorable though and we are talking about it so maybe it has worked....

skybluee · 02/05/2020 12:28

I can feel the string, and it can be irritating, so I actually cut them off (cut it really short) as short as possible.

Bienentrinkwasser · 02/05/2020 12:41

I can guarantee that if schools were open this is all shitty little teenage boys would be saying to embarrass girls. It’s so cringy!
