Has anyone seen it? (You'll know if you have!)

As a professional marketeer, I can only assume that their marketing team are on meth.

I dont even have the fucking words...

(Apologies if there's already a thread)

"If your vag is too giant, try shoving it up a bit more, well done!"

Youngatheart00 · 14/04/2020 21:05

“Get em up there girls” Confused

Rank advert.

As an aside I find applicator tampons impossible to use comfortably and have to use non applicator ones!

JunoJigglewick · 14/04/2020 21:07

Was this made by contestants in The Apprentice?

It's awful. I mean, why make a nonsense fake talk show? Just have an advert that starts with a belting foghorn, then the bit with the hands (whic& is still making me cringe - the reference to tip makes me think of BANTZ JOKES about dicks) then big writing "this will make you more comfortable, sorry our pamphlet was written by someone too embarrassed to be clear".

Fuck off, Tampax.

OhioOhioOhio · 14/04/2020 21:09

I haven't seen the ad but all of your comments are so funny!

Lulu1919 · 14/04/2020 21:14

I saw it and thought it was a joke..like a spoof ....but no it's a real advert !!!!

magicstar1 · 14/04/2020 21:16

It’s unbelievably crass. I’m all for things being out in the open...but there is a line ffs.

cindertoffees · 14/04/2020 21:17

Holy shit. This will give my father in law a breakdown for sure. (He's of the generation where this type of thing wasn't advertised)

Bargebill19 · 14/04/2020 21:21

Jesus wept.

PlanDeRaccordement · 14/04/2020 21:23

It’s so bad it’s like it was made to be bad on purpose. Wink and all.

Wordofwarning · 14/04/2020 21:23

So there’s that one which DH went pale at. He’s not period phobic being brought up in a female centric house BUT it’s TMI really it is. I also went WTF 😂 has the communication in this country gone utterly fucking bonkers (have previously worked in Comms 🤦‍♀️).

I also then bring to you the direct Lube ad. Just stop now 🤢

MintyMabel · 14/04/2020 21:25

Except that clicky thing gives way with the slightest pressure and renders it useless.

OneHippoOnThePhone · 14/04/2020 21:27

I thought it was a 90s spoof.
I think the marketing team must be working for Lil-lets.

Mustbeoriginal38 · 14/04/2020 21:41

A lot of what we watch we've recorded so we can whizz through the ads. This ad has made DH very quick to skip to the next part of what we are watching. Even I'm Hmmat the delivery of it.

@wordofwarning agree about the line ad too - just no! I understand the message they are putting out there but I just don't see the need for the direction they took the ad.

I'm also not liking the "90 fateful seconds together" eBay ad just now either. Like having children needs to completely change how you live your life. You can still have and do nice, exciting things as a parent. The repetition of the "90 fateful seconds" turns me cold. I'm not sure that was the intention but I don't like the ad.

Wordofwarning · 14/04/2020 21:44

@Mustbeoriginal38 so with you on ALL points, especially ebay 🤢

Mustbeoriginal38 · 14/04/2020 21:45

*lube ad

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 14/04/2020 21:46
Shock

What the fuck!?

“Not just the tip, up to the grip”

A man wrote that. 100%.

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 14/04/2020 21:48

The Apprentice does a Tampax ad.

dudsville · 14/04/2020 21:50

I like the irreverence, it's not quiet! Ads for deodorant, loo roll, cleaners, etc., needn't be so serious.

CheekyWeeGobshite · 14/04/2020 21:51

Watched it with 3 teenage boys. That was fun Confused

Destroyer · 14/04/2020 21:52

It makes me sick that there’ll be some people (men) who love this advert a bit too much.

And teen girls uncomfortable by how the teen boys might respond to / repeat this advert.

Generations have managed without this mansplaining.

M0recakeplease · 14/04/2020 21:54

Just saw it for the first time tonight - awful!

I never use them anyway due to plastic cover. I get on fine with the cheap paper tube ones!

1066vegan · 14/04/2020 21:55

Hideous but not quite as dreadful as that awful Tena lady one with the "trickle of joy".

minimummum · 14/04/2020 21:57

A bad advert always gets more attention than a good one.

ThisMustBeMyDream · 14/04/2020 22:03

It passed me by... what's the issue? Bit patronising I suppose. But other than that, I can't get bothered about it.

Maybe it's my profession (related to womens health) but I definitely don't feel all pearl clutchy over a tampon ad. Or did I miss something obvious?

AutumnCrow · 14/04/2020 22:05

It's like Scary Spice has been inhaling dry cleaning fluid, and decided to guest interview Posh
