Leg of lamb, roasting, rosemary and garlic into small holes.

Roast potatoes, also with rosemary, sea salt.

Broccoli and carrots, possibly cauliflower if that is still edible. Oh, and Savoy cabbage because I want bubble and squeak on Monday.

MinesaPinot · 11/04/2020 17:40

Not us. We've got minted lambs chops from our local butcher tonight and DH is doing some mash. Got a chicken for tomorrow with roasted spuds and roast carrot and onion. Possibly a couple of Yorkshire puds if we've got any in the freezer. Then cold chicken and chips for Monday.

samandpoppysmummy · 11/04/2020 17:41

I'm doing the Jamie Oliver 5 hour braised lamb.

Going to slow roast a leg of lamb with lemon, garlic and herbs! served with cous cous, hummus, salad and flat bread in the sun ❤️

FurryDogMother · 11/04/2020 17:44

Half a leg of lamb here, to be studded with garlic, rosemary and anchovy fillets, sprinkled with cinnamon, salt and pepper, drizzled with olive oil, wrapped in foil and slow roasted until it falls apart. Served with crispy roast potatoes, courgettes cooked in butter and garlic, carrots and broccoli, gravy and mint sauce.

AgeLikeWine · 11/04/2020 17:49

We are having a roast leg, studded with rosemary & garlic with rosemary & red currant gravy, gratin dauphinois & roasted root veggies, all washed down with a bottle of Rioja. Definitely no mint sauce!

The best bit will be having loads of left over pink roast lamb for sandwiches.

Giggorata · 11/04/2020 17:55

The usual leg of lamb, slow roast with garlic, mint and rosemary, roast potatoes, parsnips and some carrots and spring greens. Red wine gravy.
We'll have enough left over to make shepherd's pie the following day.

weebarra · 11/04/2020 17:58

I've got a leg and am doing James Martin's weeping lamb. My SILs have also issued a "incorporate this food challenge" so we will also be using tinned fruit, rice and green peppers.

morecoffeerequired · 11/04/2020 18:14

DH did the shopping. He got a joint of pork.

FinallyMrsE · 11/04/2020 18:14

Roasted lamb leg with rosemary and garlic and served with dauphinois potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips! I can’t wait!

TheStarryNight · 11/04/2020 18:20

Rack of lamb with new potatoes, lemon & mint sauce and asparagus with an Italian hazelnut butter sauce.

FrameByFrame · 11/04/2020 18:22

Just the two of us here, and will be missing our family, but my dh is doing roast lamb tomorrow, then making moussaka with the leftovers, so at least we will eat well.

LDN1 · 11/04/2020 18:25

Not me. The future is vegan... nicer to leave those beautiful, sentient, animals off of the plate and out of the stomach.

Watch The Game Changers on Netflix. Perfect lock-down viewing.

Notwatchingtvtoday · 11/04/2020 18:27

Roast lamb here. I've taken it off the bone and am marinating it in olive oil, garlic and rosemary. I will wrap it back round the bone to slow roast it. It gives best of both worlds as cooks well and really easy to carve.
serving it with loads of veg and yorkshire puddings .

AuditAngel · 11/04/2020 18:37

Roast leg of spring lamb, specially ordered about a month ago. With potatoes, peas, parsnips and roast carrots. We will also be having Yorkshire puds as my kids think they are mandatory with a roast.

AgnesNaismith · 11/04/2020 18:40

I ordered a leg of lamb but a huuuuge lamb loin turned up...I’m massively intimidated by it so if anyone has any ideas please post!!!

Falafellygood · 11/04/2020 18:44

No, I forgot to get it from the butcher's last week. It's only recently I've been enjoying it again (went off it when I was pregnant with my eldest)

Anyone fancy an extra guest? Grin

Ninkanink · 11/04/2020 18:47

We just ate through a whole leg of lamb between two of us over a week and a bit, two weeks ago (it was the only fresh meat that was available when we last went to the shops 3+ weeks ago), so we’re not having lamb for a while. We’re having a tarragon and orange chicken.

Bin85 · 11/04/2020 19:27

Garlic and rosemary

Blueberrycreampie · 11/04/2020 19:32

Katinski, don't know why but I like your styleSmile

Scrowy · 11/04/2020 19:55

Doubt this is the thread for you Grin

Watch The Game Changers on Netflix. Perfect lock-down viewing it's a complete and utter crock of shit and you have been brainwashed by very talented but powerful people with financial skin in the vegan game.

Follow the money.

We won't be eating lamb but that's because i have a really tasty joint of one of our own lambs in the freezer that we will share with family when we can see them again.

merryhouse · 11/04/2020 20:14

Bone-in leg, from New Zealand because the British ones were twice the price and we're living on savings. Not sure how it will be done - we have both garlic and rosemary but husband will be cooking. It's 2.3kg and says it takes 3 hours, so 2 hours for 5kg doesn't sound right Grin.

Wanted cauliflower but there weren't any, and the sprouts were all yellow; so it's just carrots and peas with the roast potatoes. No mint because it hasn't grown back yet.

sweetkitty · 11/04/2020 20:17

No little baby sheep for us either, something vegan with roast potatoes, loads of veg and Bisto red gravy.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 11/04/2020 20:21

Glazed in red currant jelly
Sitting in red wine and stock
Slow cooked

biscuitsanddiddums · 11/04/2020 20:22

Leg. Also studded with garlic, rosemary, and we do orange. It’s a recipe I picked up about twenty years ago. We do it every year - I’m just not entirely sure where I’ve put it Grin
