Why are you awake?

Just that really.

Its 5.40am on Easter Saturday (If that's even a thing)

I'm currently shielding, so I'm waiting for a shop to go online at 6am so i can order some things i need...

I should of gone to sleep, and set my alarm for 6 but just kind of accidentally stayed awake.

What's everyone up to?

I'm usually up overnight with an owl who is disguised as one of my DCs. Not a hoot tonight though, so I have only got myself to blame - too much on my mind, combined with a seriously messed up body clock.

Massivejugs · 15/04/2020 04:05

I got up too early yesterday, worked all day and went to bed at 9:30 because I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Now I am awake thinking about work. Hopefully I can go back to sleep until 6 as otherwise I suspect the same situation will occur tonight.

StewPots · 15/04/2020 04:06

I'm awake because I'm in hospital following a nasty flare of my Tietzes. Happens every 2-3 months ( day to day I take meds to manage it ) where it hits me like a truck and have to have pain management via IV and kept under observation.

As you can imagine I'm not getting much rest. Poor lady opposite clearly has dementia and is repeating the same noise over and over for the last hour so I'm in a lot of pain, exhausted, vomiting and now being driven nuts by this constant noise 🙈

Can not wait to get home later today following a pain management meeting with my Consultant and catch up on sleep I've missed the last 48 hours 🙈

@Frownette its usually for people with braces to apply to the sharp edges and stop it hurting your tongue, but it was suggested somewhere on google you can use it to cover a chipped bit of tooth for the same reason.

Worth a try since i wont be getting to a dentist any time soon!

Knowhowufeel2 · 15/04/2020 04:12

Recovering from covid-19 and was actually feeling better so I thought I'd try to do a little exercise and now my chest really hurts to breathe.

I'm also really sad but not really sure why. Think I'm realising that my dh will never get fit and improve his health.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 15/04/2020 04:13

At work.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 15/04/2020 04:27

Sorry @BulbTherapy that sounds shit. Would a tooth repair kit work? Just had a look on Amazon and a fair few brands are in stock. Re: sore throat, I really recommend Ultra Chloraseptic lidocaine throat spray or gargling with Corsodyl (again Amazon). Hope you get sorted asap Flowers

QueenOfPain · 15/04/2020 04:35

I’m on a night shift, doing telephone triage from home. Have run out of calls to do now so just having a browse of MN.

Boofips · 15/04/2020 04:37

Another night worker here

MissAnanke · 15/04/2020 04:53

@BulbTherapy I was reading one of the threads on here about no dental treatment (I'm in the same boat) someone was told by their dental surgery to use babybel cheese wax to cover a chipped tooth with exposed nerve. I was gobsmacked at first but then thought....hmmm, that would probably work.

I've no idea whether the person tried it or not.

YeOldeTrout · 15/04/2020 04:56

Menstrual cramps, insomnia.

JustStayHome · 15/04/2020 22:13

Yep I’m sat for the second night in a row hoping to get a Tesco slot for my mum

JustStayHome · 15/04/2020 23:46

@FredaFox

Oh noooo.... Tonights slots are for the 6th of May.... Such a long time....

If when you go on there it says none available, push the button that lets you look at other dates then go back to the 6th, after afew times, it should work 🤞

Well I’ve managed each week so far eventually so here’s hoping! I’ve work tomorrow so don’t want to be up ages!
my mum has a midweek delivery saver so I have 3 nights to try before paying for delivery. She’s housebound so needs it delivering
I’m in the queue!

My little girl is an allnighter. She is three and is still awake. She sleeps during the day I need to stop that.

happymummy12345 · 16/04/2020 00:06

It's 12.05 am at time of posting. I'm nervous about finding out if my son got into the school we really want him to go to. Haven't been able to relax all day

happymummy12345 · 16/04/2020 00:07

I obviously meant yesterday (Wednesday), not just 5 minutes

FredaFox · 16/04/2020 00:10

@Pogmella @happymummy12345 good luck to you both 🍀
