Why are you awake?

JustStayHome · 11/04/2020 05:39

Just that really.

Its 5.40am on Easter Saturday (If that's even a thing)

I'm currently shielding, so I'm waiting for a shop to go online at 6am so i can order some things i need...

I should of gone to sleep, and set my alarm for 6 but just kind of accidentally stayed awake.

What's everyone up to?

Restless night I have just before my period starts
Anxious about work and this whole thing

userxx · 16/04/2020 05:39

@thatmustbenigelwiththebrie Yep, totally get that! Time doesn't seem to matter anymore.

BikeRunSki · 16/04/2020 08:23

@JustStayHome, I have a chronic “niggle”, which I’ve had all my life, i have a very long back with a very deep curve which put a lot of stress on my lower back. It’s not debilitating or anything, but can be uncomfortable at night. I could get up and do some exercises in the dark I suppose!! It’s usually fine with swimming and a monthly massage.

Mascotte · 16/04/2020 08:39

@thatmustbenigelwiththebrie I do find the evenings very long and have to force myself to stay up

LittleMissLumpy · 16/04/2020 09:20

JustStayHome I'm better now, thanks. How was your night?

happymummy12345 · 16/04/2020 11:09

@FredaFox and JustStayHome the email came through about 12.15. My son got into our first choice. Can't tell you how happy I am, I literally cried with relief. Suddenly feels very real though

JustStayHome · 16/04/2020 11:10

Worrying after earlier phone conversation with GP. I expected that the 24 hour heart check following my diagnosis of a sinus arrhythmia would take place once lock down is lifted. GP thought otherwise and is writing to cardiology. Then had a "friend" say that doctors have other priorities right now, so I shouldn't have got in touch with GP despite A&E doctor telling me to contact GP this week.
Really not helping me right now and just keeps setting off my palpitations with anxiety about whether I'm overreacting.

JustStayHome · 18/04/2020 01:35

@Jasmin82
Please ignore your "friend"
GP's are seeing everyone that hasnt got a CONVID-19 health issue.
They are still open, for people like you.
Please try and not worry.

YOU AREN'T WASTING ANYONE'S TIME!

That's bullshit. That person is not your friend, but I think you know that Thanks

Yellowshirt · 18/04/2020 02:06

@Jasmin82 you did exactly the right thing contacting the doctor.

There is a big thing at the moment especially on BBC radio stations where doctors are speaking out virtually begging sick people not covid 19 related to get in touch as they are there for you.

Jasmin82 · 18/04/2020 02:24

Thanks, all. I couldn't believe what they said and it made me worry even more. I'd already put off phoning until the end of the week to make sure they'd got the discharge from A&E, rather than having to rely on my dodgy memory of what was said.

Bluebell1995 · 18/04/2020 02:26

@Jasmin82. I work in hospital, don't be put off by Covid-19. If you've been referred then you need to go. It's a very calm and controlled place atm, much more than usual!

JustStayHome · 18/04/2020 02:41

@Jasmin82
Hope you are able to rest soon !

thaegumathteth · 18/04/2020 04:24

@Jasmin82 ignore your so called friend. You have done exactly the right thing. I hope you get some reassurance soon.

I'm awake because I got up for a pee and as I got back into bed a massive spider crawled across my bed.Shock so I had to catch it and now I'm wide awake and worrying about anything and everything.

Cait73 · 18/04/2020 04:39

I only sleep 2 possibly 3 hours a night, my gs is up multiple times between 10pm and 2am then at 4am shop deliveries commence so no chance to sleep through that 😣

MaureenMLove · 18/04/2020 04:48

Because my bloody arthritis wakes me up at this time every sodding day! I would love to be able to stay asleep. Just until 6.30 or 7 would be lovely, but it's just not going to happen.

On the upside when I do eventually get back to work, at least it'll be up on time, because my sleep pattern hasn't changed one bit!

Sparklfairy · 18/04/2020 04:54

I have had exactly 20 mins sleep - just happened to catch the time before I dropped off - but I've been suffering from some kind of sleep paralysis. It's like you're dreaming and then something unexpected/shocking happens and you realise you're dreaming and just can't wake up. Then you do wake up and realise it's been 20 mins Hmm it's been happening for a few days now and I've had it before and I'm stuck between being too tired to function in the day to too scared to sleep at night. It's awful. Sorry I just needed to moan. I actually had the inception dream within a dream the other day. Didn't actually believe it was a thing.
