Me - my nespresso latissima coffee machine. Having a nice coffee is really helping me get through the day. Albeit I will need to cut down on the lattes as getting a bit fat(ter). Am so grateful decided to get one in Jan

Also - my two nice big Le creuset pots that I actually got as a wedding present but have been using even more than usual

Notmyrealname855 · 08/04/2020 23:29

WiFi booster :)

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 08/04/2020 23:30

I also bought a digital slow cooker that I was a bit 🤔 about but it has actually been very useful too

Great thread idea!

Bought loads of seeds this year - didn’t hold back and now very excited about planting them this weekend.

DramaAlpaca · 08/04/2020 23:31

Paint. I bought enough to do a few rooms in the house when I got an inkling there'd be a lockdown. I haven't even managed to finish one of the rooms I was intending to do, but I'll get there.

Upgraded our internet about 2 weeks before having to self isolate. Or actually we ordered it about 6 weeks before and it took over a month to install. Previous service wouldn't have allowed two of us to work from home, and certainly not 2 adults working from home plus kids on their online learning (or Youtube!).

Pommersy · 08/04/2020 23:33

The old Wii fit has been dug out of the loft. The kids love it again and i can kid myself I will use it to exercise!

plominoagain · 08/04/2020 23:33

Upgraded internet here too . Ordered it from BT , turned up 2 days later . Thanking my lucky stars now , with two teenagers and 4 adults in the house .

PersonaNonGarter · 08/04/2020 23:33

I got two monitors from work in the autumn to set up with my laptop. It has made all the difference to WFH.

Also, I have quite a lot of freezer space so I knew we weren’t going to starve. So glad we got our new kitchen installed and finished beforehand.

Verily1 · 08/04/2020 23:34

Lego

JeSuisPoulet · 08/04/2020 23:34

Dog, breadmaker, hammock, all the books I've not read in the last 3 years and hoarding all of the craft stuff I used to use with dd in pre-school that we can finally use up! (OK so the last is more what I am glad I didn't just chuck out rather than buy, but hey). Also theBrexit stockpile - and y'all thought we were crazies Wink

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 08/04/2020 23:36

I ordered a diamond painting kit with a picture of my sister in law as a Christmas present, it arrived in January and I've been too busy to do it. I started it tonight and it is so relaxing! She might get her present in time for her birthday!

louloubelleme · 08/04/2020 23:36

Paint! As the house needed a new coat of paint throughout.
A lay z spa, it's my daughters birthday and we bought her one and the kids haven't been out of it since!
Stamps, as it means I have been able to write to friends and send cards and drop them off in our post box when I take the dogs out for a walk without having to go into the post office or shops unnecessarily.
Printer paper and ink, so I can print of a gazillion colouring in/school work stuff for the kids
Wine! Always have a stash for emergencies in the cupboard Grin

nakedavengerreturns · 08/04/2020 23:37

A massive leather directors chair for my makeshift office.

squee123 · 08/04/2020 23:39

my sizeable Brexit stockpile and my spin bike

alwayslearning789 · 08/04/2020 23:44

Indoor exercise bike!

Auldspinster · 08/04/2020 23:44

A pulse oximeter as I'm diabetic with anxiety so if I feel breathless I can just pop it on and see that my sats are entirely normal.

Also a freezer full of frozen veg, a well stocked store cupboard and lots of bog roll, bought in anticipation of possible brexit shortages. I tend to buy food as and when I need it because I live alone, often from the reduced to clear shelf so it was a relief to have these reserves. Saying that I had an asda delivery yesterday so stocks have been replenished.

buckeejit · 08/04/2020 23:48

seeds, compost, hammock, dehydrator, replenished spices, a stock of Brexit supplies! load of clothes for growing dc. Too many books!

YesThisIsMe · 08/04/2020 23:49

Kitchen extension!
And we borrowed a whole bunch of jigsaws from DMIL last time she was down: going to crack them open over Easter.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 08/04/2020 23:49

Oh yes - we got a new printer which is now been commandeered for twinkl work sheets.

Am contemplating trying to grow tomatoes

Bridecilla · 08/04/2020 23:50

@squee123 was your spin bike ££££??

willowhazel · 08/04/2020 23:51

Not recent purchases but a slow cooker, soup maker and microwave rice steamer. More recently, ink cartridges and paper.

MintyCedric · 08/04/2020 23:51

Cats. We got them a couple of months after we moved in two years ago at 8 weeks old. They are 2 now and their antics and snuggles just make home a much nicer placed to be.

FurForksSake · 08/04/2020 23:55

I'm glad I had

who gives a crap subscription and 48 spare toilet rolls
a milkperson
a splosh subscription (cleaning products)
online food delivery accounts with everyone (and an anytime smartpass for ocado, shopping for my shielded relatives and us as we are all on the vulnerable list)
HP instant ink
2 boxes of printer paper

I bought a trampoline when they announces schools would close.

Also very grateful to have bought all the easter choc in lidl in feb and my son's birthday presents really early.
