Me - my nespresso latissima coffee machine. Having a nice coffee is really helping me get through the day. Albeit I will need to cut down on the lattes as getting a bit fat(ter). Am so grateful decided to get one in Jan

Also - my two nice big Le creuset pots that I actually got as a wedding present but have been using even more than usual

A dishwasher.

ohmysoul · 09/04/2020 09:32

A cot bed instead of a smaller sized cot. DD needed to go into a bed a week ago and we just converted the cot. Also cheeky wipes!

hiredandsqueak · 09/04/2020 09:37

The dog we rescued, probably. Means I have to get out for a walk everyday and her joy at having us all at home constantly seems to rub off on all of us. She is dd's playmate and confidante and somebody to snuggle when she is feeling anxious.

I purchased some wireless headphones. I love them, they are quite the new toy ! Very useful as I've got time to exercise without disturbing my WFH husband.

I purchased some 1kg dumbbells from Aldi for use during the lockdown. I purchased two x 2kg dumbbells for my husband from The Range. I got the last pair in each shop as I was late to the idea of things to do at home regarding exercise.

From Aldi I also purchased a football for my husband and I to throw to each other for back garden exercise.

Other than that I've got books I haven't read. Podcasts and audio books I haven't listened to. Hobbies to catch up with. Lots of pottering to be done.

Timeandtune · 09/04/2020 09:44

A digital thermometer. I realised that we haven’t had one since the DC were small. Managed to get one before lockdown started and used it the other day convinced I had a high temp. I didn’t.

PeepeeDarling · 09/04/2020 09:45

We brought a swing/slide/activity set for the garden about week before lockdown - from kids Xmas money they were gifted and we added to. It’s made a huge difference.
The sunshine has been a big help- lucky to have a ok garden. Must be hard for people without especially kids ☹️
Not brought but the both children had big birthday parties in the winter and I stashed a lot of the gifts away for summer hols so they are able to get out a new toy every few days.
Wish we’d have brought paint and gloss got loads to do.

Bluewavescrashing · 09/04/2020 09:45

Loads of soap
Trampoline
Swing ball
Nespresso machine
Decking planks
Enough clothes, underwear and shoes to last DCs a year (I always buy bigger sizes)
Washable sanpro
Bulk supply of pet food and bedding
Glue sticks and Easter crafts left over from last year
DH is glad he bought a new bbq last year.

theclangersbigplan · 09/04/2020 09:45

Table tennis table, trampoline, cross trainer, coffee machine, Nintendo Switch!

TooGood2BeTrue · 09/04/2020 09:46

A hamoc for our garden.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 09/04/2020 09:47

The breadmaker and the huge stock pile of flour and yeast I bought in case of a no deal Brexit has been brilliant. I'm still able to buy bread on my weekly shop but the bread maker means I don't have to keep going out to buy more. Some of the flour was a couple of months out of date but it's fine. My Brexit box of tinned tomatoes and soup has paid off too.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 09/04/2020 09:48

Our house definitely. Much better space for the lockdown. Beyond that, we recently bought a new smart tv, upgraded WiFi, have a tripod for holding phone during video calls, have lots of paint in for some DIY jobs and bulk buy washing powder and loo roll normally so was very pleased we'd had a delivery just before the schools closed.

I got in quick to order some garden play stuff, Easter decorations and home exercise equipment in anticipation of a lockdown and generally feel we have everything we need to keep ourselves occupied and entertained for a while yet.

HavelockVetinari · 09/04/2020 09:49

Bike seat for toddler DS. DIY supplies. WINE.

mooboy · 09/04/2020 09:51

Can I be contrary - I'm glad I didn't buy...
A new landscaped garden - so many people have been left with a half finished job...and we have a healthier bank balance too - We own our own business and will not receive much help from the Gov in the event the business crashes, so that money saved will be very much needed!

bubblesforlife · 09/04/2020 09:54

Coffee machine so I can make fancy coffee.
Frozen pasties from m&s so we can pretend we are in a coffee shop.

BearSoFair · 09/04/2020 09:57

A Nintendo Switch. We've had it over a year but it's always been on and off use, but it's definitely proved it's worth now!

Wotrewelookinat · 09/04/2020 10:06

Indoor exercise equipment.
Seeds for growing vegetables.

middleager · 09/04/2020 10:09

I wish I had bought an exercise bike Wot the prices have shot up now.

wheresmymojo · 09/04/2020 10:12

Not exactly in the spirit of the thread but I am jealous as fuck about people with hot tubs right now.

I keep seeing photos on FB of people in them and I'm green with envy every time Grin

In reality I suspect I'd use it once in a blue moon for about 30mins and wonder why I wasted money on it but even telling myself this 500 times a day isn't helping

Mumsnut · 09/04/2020 10:16

Badminton net

Pool chemicals

Umnoway · 09/04/2020 10:16

I’m glad we have a printer with ink subscription and plenty of printer paper. I’d have been screwed otherwise with the homeschooling. Also glad I bought my DD’s a new tablet each for Christmas.

Brunelofbrio · 09/04/2020 10:18

As above, my Brexit stash. A coffee machine, seeds and paper paints and craft stuff. Glad I have hung on to my old teaching resources too.

PersonaNonGarter · 09/04/2020 10:19

Also - an egg incubator. We are going to hatch some chicks. So nearly gave it away on several occasions.

SimonJT · 09/04/2020 10:22

Some good stuff, some bad

£50 of beer
Slide and paddling pool (which we use inside (flat))
Compost, balcony pots and seeds
200 cigarettes
More gym stuff
Bike stand to indoor cycle
General game stuff like velcro tennis set, skittles etc. We use one per day on rotation so my son is less likely to get bored of them.
Animal crossing
Hammer drill (I’ve finally put all our blinds up, I only moved in a year ago...)
Two bumper bags of cat litter

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 09/04/2020 10:28

Basketball and hoop for DCs, it's had a lot of use already. Also although I didn't buy them just before, I'd accumulated quite a stash of nice scented soaps and hand creams, which came in very useful when we started all the extra handwashing!

pinknsparkly · 09/04/2020 10:30

My exercise bike! It was actually my ex-housemate that bought it, for about £70 - £80 a few years ago. I went halves with her and she decided to leave it behind when she moved out as she hadn't used it in months (neither had I, to be fair...). Since lockdown, I've been getting on it for 5mins every hour to keep myself moving and sane!
