Me - my nespresso latissima coffee machine. Having a nice coffee is really helping me get through the day. Albeit I will need to cut down on the lattes as getting a bit fat(ter). Am so grateful decided to get one in Jan

Also - my two nice big Le creuset pots that I actually got as a wedding present but have been using even more than usual

Oh and extra caps for the ear thermometer! If there's one bonus to having anxiety, it's the fact I like to be extra prepared

bakedbeanzontoast · 09/04/2020 23:41

My exercise machine.

Oh yes also I had a video interview a little while ago which forced me to buy a webcam for the PC, which is something I'd normally avoid like the plague! But now we're constantly on Zoom etc with friends and family, it's been a godsend and they've been hard to get since lockdown (DH was looking at buying another for his PC and they were all sold out or very ££).

Bluewater1 · 09/04/2020 23:53

Hot water bottle in a soft fluffy cover, for cuddling at night

ScienceNut · 09/04/2020 23:54

Very glad my new sofa arrived in mid March!

Blibbyblobby · 09/04/2020 23:56

@ahagwearsapointybonnet if your DH has an old smartphone lying around he might be able to use that as a webcam. I’m using an iPhone 4s with an app called ivcam, you install a receiver app on the pc and a webcam app on the phone. The app is about £8.

We got the loft converted last year and I set up for working from home with a wired Ethernet point, dedicated pc, dual monitors, wireless headset etc. I appreciate it so much right now.

TomTomRunner · 10/04/2020 00:01

I cylced around our town for about an hour looking for yeast when I thought lockdown was coming and eventually found some tucked away in the local shop at the end of the road. We are enjoying the fresh bread every few days.

redastherose · 10/04/2020 00:18

Both daughter's birthday presents (both April birthdays) and Easter eggs.

I'm also thankful that 18moths ago I invested in some shelves for my garage and started going to the Cash and Carry to stock up on the stuff you can stockpile. It was to save money but it's really come in handy as I haven't had to worry about lots of things just had to get fresh foods.

That I get deliveries from our local creamery so I get all my milk, cheese, butter, eggs and bread delivered.

Fishfingersandwichplease · 10/04/2020 00:25

New pair of super duper ++comfort Asics running trainers....last ones were making feet hurt and l knew if l didn't get any l wouldn't be able to get out running...2 days later we went into lockdown and l have worn them every day

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 10/04/2020 00:29

Glad I bought : prescription drugs that come from another country with a closed border (not available in my own country)

Wish I'd bought: seeds and compost (though garden shops now open for seeds and veg plants)
Also wish I'd had my hair cut and coloured!

Biffsboys · 10/04/2020 00:39

A pack of cards - sounds ridiculous but we have lots of laughs playing after dinner (with wine 🤪) . Also a basketball hoop .

Biensur40 · 10/04/2020 05:20

A second-hand climbing frame for the DC.
Lots of coffee.
A printer for home learning.
Puzzle books to keep my brain ticking over.

CrowleysBentley · 10/04/2020 07:18

A big cushion/beanbag/backrest thing with arms, and a laptop bed desk thing so I can sit on my bed comfortably and watch Netflix while knitting or crocheting.

Tonnes of yarn

FrangipaniBlue · 10/04/2020 07:35

For Christmas DH bought me a turbo trainer (attaches to my road bike so that I can "ride" indoors) and I bought a Zwift subscription (basically VR cycling).

An hour a day is keeping me sane.

Plus my Tri Club have been arranging online meet ups in Zwift so we can together and chat!

IamChipmunk · 10/04/2020 09:24

A treadmill. We got it in Jan sales as our xmas present. Means I can get away from kids for half an hour. Actually do some exercise even if cold, wet, etc etc and now means I can use my trip out a day to walk dog and kids and still exercise on top of that.

SerendipitySunshine · 10/04/2020 11:46

A sizable spirits collection. Just wish I had more mixers!

Bridecilla · 10/04/2020 17:28

@SerendipitySunshine I used to have a gin box subscription so I'm well stocked- I panic bought a shed load of tonic in Tesco just before lockdown and the lady on the till was laughing about me being the only one in the queue without a trolley full of pasta and bog roll - priorities and all that!

Holdingmybreath · 10/04/2020 17:39

Seeds and compost. Also teaching DD how to use dried instead of tinned beans so all the jars had been filled.
Paint,as I have been meaning to decorate some rooms so on my days off there's no excuse,if the sun stops shining that is.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 10/04/2020 17:43

Bread flour! I make all our own bread and my dads, so buy in bulk. Got one of the last regular orders from Shipton Mill before they started limiting.
Seeds and plants
Raised bed kit.

BeyondMyWits · 10/04/2020 17:44

Had a Brexit stash (inc. loo roll, tins, pasta) a new laptop for Xmas, an ink subscription for the printer and 4 online delivery slots booked.

Life has been relatively easy for me and the elderly, self-isolating neighbour as a result

Snoooozzze · 10/04/2020 18:13

I'm glad I bought/have:

New garden chairs- we only have a very small area (5ft x 12ft) and turned it into a tiny little yarden with brick planters and decking tiles ('tis lovely) last summer so it's been nice to sit out in the sunshine with a cuppa gin Grin

Bird feeders - it's lovely to watch the tiny little birds when I'm washing the dishes etc

Disney+ and Netflix- DD is happy Grin

Morrison's food box and amazon pantry future orders

Glittertwins · 10/04/2020 18:19

Upgraded the router just after Christmas so it floods the house properly with Wifi so we can all be online at the same time and a bike turbo trainer.

Waitingfirgodot · 10/04/2020 18:22

A house a few months back! We've got plenty of space inside and out and it never feels like we're under each others feet. We had well and truly grown out of our old one and lockdown would have been a completely different experience had we not moved.

Magic2020 · 10/04/2020 19:21

Brexit stores, Who Gives a Crap loo rolls, a load of seeds and a big bag of potting compost. Has meant we have enough for ourselves and some to give away to people who really need this stuff right now.
