Me - my nespresso latissima coffee machine. Having a nice coffee is really helping me get through the day. Albeit I will need to cut down on the lattes as getting a bit fat(ter). Am so grateful decided to get one in Jan

Also - my two nice big Le creuset pots that I actually got as a wedding present but have been using even more than usual

Gym equipment
Lots of alcohol
Large TV for bedroom
New iPhones
Lots of toys for the dogs
Microwave after not having one for a few months

Janus · 08/04/2020 23:56

A hamster!!! He’s the cutest thing and have kept the kids entertained for a little bit each day! (We already have dogs and chickens so you wouldn’t think a hamster makes much difference but it has!!).

Mawbags · 08/04/2020 23:59

Home gym
Juicer
Brexit stash
Paint n wallpaper

Tayt · 09/04/2020 00:02

mummmy2017 · 09/04/2020 00:04

Google Chrome Cast.
The TV in our area no longer works, singal problems.

CazM2012 · 09/04/2020 00:05

We decorated our living room and had new sofas in December, so glad we did, the old ones were uncomfortable and I’d really gone off the whole room, would sit anywhere in the house but there. Now I’m stuck in the house and it’s a lovely place to be!

JeSuisPoulet · 09/04/2020 00:06

I always seem to have lots of paint in the shed - I hadn't realised it was in short supply tbh. You all may have inspired me to get painting tomorrow! I needed to do the skirtings anyway... Smile

CherryBakebadly · 09/04/2020 00:06

A smoothie maker - was about £20 and I’ve been using it loads

MrsTerryPratchett · 09/04/2020 00:08

We ordered one of those subscriptions where a box arrives every month with science crafts. We forgot to cancel it and had a backlog of boxes and thought we'd never get to them. Now we have have educational crafts to spare. EAT THAT people who cancel subscriptions responsibly. Grin

CoodleMoodle · 09/04/2020 00:11

Printer.

DD got lots of Lego and other crafty stuff for her birthday at the start of March. So far she's not been too bored.

A few new Hot Wheels cars for DS. I was putting them away for his birthday (July) but I'm glad they're there if I need something to keep him happy. Only wish I'd bought more as they were dirt cheap and he loves them...

ElizabethG81 · 09/04/2020 00:11

Disney+

Fatted · 09/04/2020 00:12

Not so much something I've bought, but we unexpectedly had to move house last year when our landlord sold up. I'm so glad now we moved. It's a much nicer house, nicer area and nicer neighbours. I couldn't stand being on lockdown in our old house.

FountainGate · 09/04/2020 00:13

MacKenzie Roll for my back, working from home with my dining room chairs is painful, this really helps.

Face masks. I bought a giant pack of them about a year ago for when I do the cleaning as I'm sensitive to the dust here. Just been mandated to wear them when out and extremely difficult to find now (not UK).

Charlieandlola · 09/04/2020 00:17

Boxes of hair dye
Disney plus
Compost and seeds
Yeast
24 bottles of wine just before Laithwaites stopped orders

Imohsotired · 09/04/2020 00:45

A house! We moved from a 30th floor city apartment to a house in the countryside not long before everything kicked off. Kids are loving the garden and they have their own playroom to upend 37 times a day (toddler life). I can just close the door and imagine it's clean.

My favourite smaller purchases have been one of those robot hoover things which my husband insisted on and I now love, a smoothie maker and a tray of dettol spray which I ordered by accident thinking I was buying 3 bottles.

HathorX · 09/04/2020 00:53
  • Hair clippers and hair scissors (I cut DD’s and DS hair, OH does his own and mine just grows into a mess)
  • My mum’s birthday present.
  • Seeds for the veg patch in my garden
  • Conversion of half our garage into a home office
  • The trampoline, getting daily use twice or more per day
  • a Hamax bike seat on eBay so my DS can ride behind me on my bike
when we take our daily exercise
  • eBay second hand clothes for DS, I’m glad I bought ahead for summer as it means I don’t have to order anything to be delivered
HathorX · 09/04/2020 00:54

Oh and a bulk order in Feb of bamboo loo roll from Who Gives A Crap, before coronavirus...that was lucky

Puffthemagicdragongoestobed · 09/04/2020 01:05

We bought our new house earlier this year and every day of the lockdown I have been grateful for our lovely big garden.
We moved in with our Brexit stash, so much so that the movers commented on how much food we had. Very glad about this now.
Before we moved I sorted all our crafts stuff into little tubs and bags in the crafts box, this is getting used almost every day.
I am missing: our open plan kitchen from our old house. A floor that is a bit more forgiving (have horrendous cream carpets in the new house that stay clean for 10 seconds max).

KiddingMyself · 09/04/2020 01:27

Genuinely, my house... I'm so thankful that my dp and I bought our home a few months ago.

I would be devastated to be apart right now.

thaegumathteth · 09/04/2020 01:27

Mostly garden stuff we had already or they got for Xmas
Basketball stand
Trampoline
Table tennis
Goals
Swing

Also
Refills of soap that I bought in bulk in January to be eco friendly
Pets.

SpeedwellBlue · 09/04/2020 01:32

New washing machine about 2 weeks before lockdown. If it had conked out slightly later I'd not have enjoyed having to wash laundry in the bath!

BradleyPooper · 09/04/2020 02:02

Wooden flooring, new sink, shower screen, paint and tiles - diy and YouTube how-to videos are keeping me busy...

mamaduckbone · 09/04/2020 08:36

A laptop, bought in the sales after Christmas as my work laptop was on its last legs. Don't know how we'd have managed with 3 of us working at home without it.
Also, ping pong bats Grin

Soubriquet · 09/04/2020 08:39

WiFi and tablets!

Saves my sanity when the kids whinge they are bored

Though whilst the weather is nice, they get chucked outside for play time.

Then I’m grateful for the play doh and paints

Also grateful to the foam squares as it’s all gravel out there so it’s somewhere nice to sit

2littleguineas · 09/04/2020 08:43

Lots of paint, we've worked through most of the house already.
A new corner suite and some living/bedroom accessories.
Painting has been a great distraction for me and helps me not to over think about what's going on in the real world.
