Me - my nespresso latissima coffee machine. Having a nice coffee is really helping me get through the day. Albeit I will need to cut down on the lattes as getting a bit fat(ter). Am so grateful decided to get one in Jan

Also - my two nice big Le creuset pots that I actually got as a wedding present but have been using even more than usual

A Hello Fresh subscription. I got suckered into this by a very canny salesman about 3 weeks before lockdown. I'm so grateful because we have lovely meals delivered every Sunday. It's expensive but so worth it right now.

A swing ball set for our tiny garden. DS and I go out and smash the balls around every day. Great for relieving tension.

Things I wish I'd got...
wifi booster
small second desk and chair
Soil
yeast
replacement tablet for the one the broke earlier this year

mondaynoon · 09/04/2020 10:33

Switch and Animal Crossing New Horizon for DS. He already had the Switch but his face was a picture when I said I would buy him Animal Crossing even though it wasn't his birthday! He's really enjoying it.

DrudgeJedd · 09/04/2020 10:44

DH bought a second smart trainer on sale just before this all kicked off, at the time I was Hmm because the one we already have was fine. They're both being used every day now & we have a family subscription to an augmented reality app so I've been to France, Italy and the US this week Grin

Parkandride · 09/04/2020 10:47

The brexit stash, including an extra freezer for the garage I picked up on gumtree and had filled with frozen veg

Pandemic board game, good timing to pick that up a few weeks back

Couple of unopened jigsaws from a Christmas when I went a bit jigsaw nuts and everyone got me them

Dog - not a new addition but he's keeping us sane and entertained

Parkandride · 09/04/2020 10:49

Ooh yes also meal delivery service like @Fartlek we use gousto and have bumped it up to 4 lovely meals a week. They're not taking on new customers now.
Same with our milkman, we love been able to add juice, butter, eggs, yogurts to our orders- both were invaluable during self isolation.

listsandbudgets · 09/04/2020 10:54

A bouncy castle - we discovered that it was just under twice the price to buy a small one as it was to hire one for a party a few years ago. Given that we've used it for parties since and it comes out very often in the summer its been worth every penny. Its been kut a lot since lock down started.

A thermometer

A full freezer of food

A scrabble and chess set

A huge pile of stationary

And last but certainly NOT LEAST a couple of years ago a larger house... we'd have been constantly on top of each other otherwise - prevoiusly me and DP were sharing a room with DS (now 7)

We've been incredibly lucky

A subscription to Guosto box

A car. Ordered last October but only ready for collection a week before lockdown. We live in a flat in a densely populated part of London and social distancing is very hard. A 2 mile drive up the road is some gorgeous woods we are going for a walk in every other day. It's making the other 23 hours a day shut in a flat with 2 young children much more manageable. Also means I can go an do a full proper grocery shop as we can't get a delivery slot, otherwise we'd only be able to buy as much as we could carry home.

In January I bought a Nintendo Switch with the Ringfit Adventure fitness game. I felt very smug when all this kicked off because I’d be able to exercise at home. In fact there have been so many new online exercise classes that I haven’t used it much. Last week I couriered it to my eldest child who is in lockdown with their partner They ordered a couple of more traditional RP type games and are delighted with it.

I also bought some reuseable baby wipes to use as ‘wee wipes’ earlier this year. At the time my motive was to be more environmentally friendly but now they have the added advantage of stopping me worrying about running out of loo roll.

An internet connection! I had put off installation for months. Connected just 2 weeks before lockdown - so lucky I had booked it in! I’ve been able to watch TV (didn’t have it when I was out every night...) and work from home, surf the internet, etc.

Quarantimespringclean · 09/04/2020 10:59

There is a particular wine my DH likes that is hard to get here and costs a fortune (about £11 a bottle which is a lot to me!) I discovered you can order it direct from the Italian vineyard and even with shipping costs it worked out about £6.50 a bottle. I ordered 48 bottles which were delivered in the middle of February. The little stack of boxes in the garage makes me very happy.

squishedgrapes · 09/04/2020 10:59

And I bought an extra freezer 6 months ago.

Catrescue1971 · 09/04/2020 11:02

A huge bag of seed compost for the veg I am sowing.

Stopyourhavering64 · 09/04/2020 11:09

Smart TV and new sofas!

2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney · 09/04/2020 11:13

I had gone up a size and none of last years summer clothes fit me. I had been gradually buying for a now postponed holiday in May and have been enjoying wearing them this last week.

The freezer I bought last year for Brexit, ditto the stash of cupboard goods but why didn't I replace the tinned tomatoes after the election instead of running them down?

Bought the Easter goodies for the family early this year and had them delivered so they have Easter goodies. So do we Grin !

Bought wine from Laithwaites recently since lockdown , yes judge me
So if they have stoped deliveries I am glad of that.

Several bottles of Bombay sapphire gin in February it was on special offer.

I sound like an alcoholic Grin

Baaaahhhhh · 09/04/2020 11:17

Garden furniture - it's not coming until next though :-(

bananamonkey · 09/04/2020 11:31

Weekly Gousto box, got it in January when it was 60% off and now really glad we kept it on, so far nothing’s been limited on it and it means we don’t need so much from the supermarket as I’m not able to go.

A small trampoline shortly before lockdown, DC has been on it every day and they all sold out shortly after. Also all our garden toys I got last summer, the garden is small but there’s lots to play with.

I have lots of wine but can’t drink any of it till I have this baby Sad

bananamonkey · 09/04/2020 11:33

Had the hallway professionally decorated in February and every time I look at it (which is all the time now!) it makes me happy, wish we could do the rest of the house now.

okiedokieme · 09/04/2020 11:37

Not exactly bought, but having a newish partner was particularly handy - it's not exactly how we expected to spend our first weeks living together but it sure beats isolating with my adult back at home (still have lots to move but had the essentials)

BuntyCollocks · 09/04/2020 11:39

Paint, for “when we had time” - lots of time now, and so far I’ve done painted the front door, living room radiator, landing radiator, and all the doors upstairs.

We also redecorated the spare room to an office with a daybed, and bought a monitor instead of just the laptop. It’s been a godsend for DH now he’s stuck WFH.

Managed to get a second laptop before full lockdown which was lucky.

Murinae · 09/04/2020 11:44

Our house with a huge garden and the lay z spa. Also glad I stocked up on cat food and chicken food just before all this kicked off. My hello fresh box didn’t get delivered last week and this week has been cancelled (by them!) so that’s not working out too well.

animaginativeusername · 09/04/2020 11:44

Sewing machine, I have bought clothes too big, lots fabric - can put to use
