Yep very smug here. Cupboards are bursting with food. 🙄

KatyMac · 03/04/2020 01:35

I had 2 screens open one for me and one for my mum

Both households are shielding

I got one for me on 23rd but nothing for my mum

Now I have to go through the cupboard/freezer to Mn plan for 3 weeks with no shopping

Babyroobs · 03/04/2020 01:39

Managed to get one for 3 weeks time !!

PyongyangKipperbang · 03/04/2020 01:46

I wish I could afford M&S.

Presumably living so high up in your ivory tower means you wont catch CV? Shame you picked up a bad case of stupid though.

daisychain01 · 03/04/2020 01:48

@Wehttam

This is why I prepped early February, I knew it would be bad but not this bad. Getting slots for 3 weeks time when there’s not a guarantee the items will be in stock either?

Surely it’s easier to just go to M&S, shelves are full in there.

Are you so lacking in empathy and brain cells that you'd come onto this thread and come out with crap like this when there are people who are buying for other people, who are vulnerable and unable to get to the shops. I'm sick with worry that my DM is putting herself at risk every time she goes to the shop to buy food. I live 100 miles from her and have been trying the whole week to get a delivery slot so she isn't at risk.

Why do you think anyone here gives a shit what you've got on your shelves?

Redglitter · 03/04/2020 01:49

Oh theres always one isnt there 🙄

Does anyone know how to get into waiting in a queue on the website ? I can't figure it out

daisychain01 · 03/04/2020 01:54

Well done @Babyroobs!!

At least I know that they release slots at midnight, Ive never ordered online before as we have a Tesco just up the road. I can try again tomorrow and see if I strike lucky!

Thanks for starting this thread @PrincessHoneysuckle

daisychain01 · 03/04/2020 01:57

@Lilymossflower based on my very limited experience, you click on book a slot and it brings up 3 tabs for the forthcoming 3 weeks. If there are any slots, the available dates should appear, but so far I've never been lucky enough to get a slot, so all I see is "no slots available, Try another day."

Greendin · 03/04/2020 02:31

The more people find out about this, the more people who will log on at midnight to try and get a slot. Soon it will be impossible to get a slot this way. You should have all kept quiet about this information. Don't tell the world about it then complain when you can't get a slot anymore.

daisychain01 · 03/04/2020 02:35

Thanks, lovely of you to point that out @Greendin I'd rather be kind that selfish, eventually people will get a slot. Just as well we don't all think like that!

DoIHaveToAdultToday · 03/04/2020 02:42

Thought they were for vulnerable and elderly only now?

How can anyone else get them if everyone knows what time to go on there, and everyone who could go into the shop is booking them up.

Disgusting

Peppafrig · 03/04/2020 02:44

Who said Tesco were only delivering to old and vulnerable ?

Redglitter · 03/04/2020 02:46

Tesco's slots are for anyone who can get them.

Theres a lot of people like me who arent classed as vulnerable but have health issues which stop them being able to shop at a supermarket. I've been online shopping for years by necessity rather than choice. I'd be lost without my Tesco deliveries

DoIHaveToAdultToday · 03/04/2020 02:47

It says both online and on the phone with Tesco and Sainsbury's that they are trying to give the slots to only vulnerable and the elderly. And if your able to shop instore

Peppa, Why do you think, able bodied, non vulnerable people should get priority?

Peppafrig · 03/04/2020 02:47

Exactly @Redglitter Do people realize Tesco are a private company and not run by the government? They are not there to make money and serve the vulnerable and their loyal customers who can't get to shops for whatever reason . If it wasn't for the delivery pass holders the service wouldn't even exist today .

Peppafrig · 03/04/2020 02:48

That should say they are there .

Lynda07 · 03/04/2020 02:49

Well done PrincessHoneysuckle. I managed to get a slot at Iceland but couldn't anywhere else. Hope your order turns up in at least one piece :-).

Peppafrig · 03/04/2020 02:50

Can't see anything on their website about only serving certain people
Nor have I had my delivery pass canceled .

Peppafrig · 03/04/2020 02:52

They only ask that those who can make it to stores do so. Nothing about elderly and vulnerable .

Redglitter · 03/04/2020 02:52

It's good to see Tesco are also acknowledging their long term delivery pass customers. I.got an email saying that they wont be charging existing members for their delivery passes until further notice but well still get the free deliveries. They're acknowledging that people arent necessarily getting value for their passes but at least this way theyll probably keep their delivery pass customers once this is all over.

DoIHaveToAdultToday · 03/04/2020 02:52

Here!!! Says when you ring them and Sainsbury's too

Tesco have opened their slots

DoIHaveToAdultToday · 03/04/2020 02:54

@Peppafrig

"Not there to serve the vulnerable"

Well don't you sound lovely
