Be honest - how many toilet rolls in your house?

Clawdy · 02/04/2020 22:28

I realised today we have 18 toilet rolls in the cupboard. To be fair, I always have lots in for some reason. But a friend told me on the phone today, she now has......65. How about you?

About 80 odd now. Using up the supplies bought long before the panic buying

People can seriously get knotted with their insults. We are not to blame for people not being able to buy any Hmm go find something else to poke a snotty stick at, it's getting tiresum.

Songofsixpence · 03/04/2020 11:39

About 80

DH buys big boxes a couple of times a year from Go Charitable for work. He’d not long had a delivery when when the mad panic buying started

There’s only him at work now so he brought a box home.

Needtheadvice · 03/04/2020 11:41

6 rolls left, will be grabbing a 9/18/24 pack, whichever size I find first.

JollyAndBright · 03/04/2020 11:41

44 and most of a roll.

I know only because I opened a new pack this morning.

We didn’t stockpile though,
we have a prescheduled subscribe and save delivery from amazon of 54 rolls every three months and our last delivery was a few weeks ago, just before all this stockpiling started.

ScrambledSmegs · 03/04/2020 11:43

Er I think about 25? We get a quarterly delivery from an online company, which works out quite well. We never need to buy extra.

Terralee · 03/04/2020 11:44

10

Babymamaroon · 03/04/2020 11:46

About 25 - standard fare in our busy household with several loos. No panic buying here.

StormCiara · 03/04/2020 11:46
  1. More than usual-generally have one 9 pack open and buy another in. But not a crazy amount.
Goldwispa · 03/04/2020 11:48

Wow some people have loaded, I thought I had a lot at 18

cyclingmad · 03/04/2020 11:55

Well it's not really loading up if you buy 2 packs of 24 from aldi. I do this cos the less I need to go the supermarket the less I spend. So when i am down to the last 3 rolls, I'll go out and buy two packs. Just so happened the last two packets I got where pre panic buying weeks.

Ohffs66 · 03/04/2020 11:57

Maybe 20 I bought 3 big packs a couple of months ago like I usually do and this is what's left. They had quite a lot on the shelves when I went to Tesco yesterday, but I didn't buy any more!

TrickyKid · 03/04/2020 11:58

MayTheGodsBeEverInYourFavour · 03/04/2020 12:00

About 15. (Two loos.) I always buy a new pack as soon as we open a pack, so I'll be buying a pack today if possible.

vdbfamily · 03/04/2020 12:01

we have 4 and there are 5 of us. I am working 11 hour days in acute hospital and take our only car as can no longer car share with colleague due to social distancing. I have day off today and am not yet out of my night things as so exhausted. Trying to psych myself up for a queue at the supermarket. Might go for early tomorrow with my NHS badge!!

mummymayhem18 · 03/04/2020 12:01

About 60 in various different sized packs. I have a bowel and bladder condition and get through a lot so it's something I always like to have a lot of in the house. I wouldn't normally have that much before all this but there was a few weeks we couldn't get any so i comfort bought a pack every time I found it not knowing how long this would go on for.

Miriel · 03/04/2020 12:04

About 50. We bulk buy packs of 18 when they're on special offer. Last stocked up a couple of months ago.

IncognitoIsMyFavouriteWord · 03/04/2020 12:06

3.5 and 1.5 packs of biodegradable wipes.

I'm one person.

I don't need any more than that.

RuthW · 03/04/2020 12:06
  1. One lasts 6 days. No stockpiling. It's what I already had.
FudgeBrownie2019 · 03/04/2020 12:06

I bulk buy everything non-perishble from Costco once every few months and last went at the start of Feb so we're stocked up with pretty much everything.

I wouldn't panic buy anything, but it's a definite luxury knowing we're not going to run out of anything immediately.

Redcrayons · 03/04/2020 12:10

I have a basket in each toilet and they’re both full so 12 But no spare unopened packs.

I usually have more than that, I buy a 24 pack roughly once a month and replace it when it’s gone. I’m not worried, it’s plenty for now and supply seems to be back to normal.

CremeEggThief · 03/04/2020 12:10
  1. 12 of which are strictly for emergency use, as they are the cheap recycled ones.

I normally never have more than 4, as I hate having excessive stuff in the house.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 03/04/2020 12:11

40, but all bought before stockpiling and we have 2 adults with IBS and a potty training toddler. We don't intend to buy more until we hit about 6 left so it should be months unless one of us is ill then it may be sooner

Bluesheep8 · 03/04/2020 12:12

In what way are people clearing shelves of loo roll to stockpile not to blame for a resulting shortage?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/04/2020 12:15

Building my usual store back up. My cupboard holds 6 packs of 9. I have just under this amount now. Often I have extra packs in a different cupboard and I'll probably stock up next I see them. The only difference is I don't think I have ever paid full price before. I usually stockpile when they are on offer! Same with laundry detergent, tissues, washing detergent and so on.

Rockbird · 03/04/2020 12:18

Because most of us who have a lot have them because we either buy them at Costco every so often as usual or get a subscription delivery. I haven't bought one off a supermarket shelf for years. So tell me how that has affected stock limits please.
