Be honest - how many toilet rolls in your house?

I realised today we have 18 toilet rolls in the cupboard. To be fair, I always have lots in for some reason. But a friend told me on the phone today, she now has......65. How about you?

80 bought when supermarket was still well stocked and the cashier laughed at us.

  1. I have Ulcerative Colitis and can go to the loo 15 times a day or more. I hope they’re in stock for my next delivery!
AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 03/04/2020 04:46

About 60 - all of which were bought long before the recent panic buying.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 03/04/2020 04:49

How can I be expected to count my 20 guest restrooms, will ask the maid when she bothers to show up

ALittleBirdhouse · 03/04/2020 04:55

(and no, I didn’t stock pile, just one 9 pack to keep me feeling like we have a ‘safe’ level!)

This is stockpiling.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 03/04/2020 04:57

9 pack delivered last night, only the 2 of us though.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 03/04/2020 04:59

@HollyBollyBooBoo you rebel!

whiteroseredrose · 03/04/2020 05:38

Just now, about 6 but expecting delivery of 48 with who gives a crap. I get a delivery every 6 months and never run out.

Princesspickle777 · 03/04/2020 05:41

About 26, this is normal for us. I buy 4 packs of 9 at the start of every month and always have done.

EffOrf · 03/04/2020 05:46

About 100, haven't bought any since Black Friday though when they were cheap on Amazon

About 100?
I started stocking up in January when shops were all fully stocked. DH thought I was overreacting at the time - he's been thanking me for being so organised since it kicked off here 😂

Some of the posts on here illustrate exactly why there's an ongoing shortage in the shops Hmm. We've got 2 bathrooms. 1 roll being used and 2 spare in each bathroom. Exactly the same as usual. We will not be buying more until there is 1 spare in each bathroom.

BasilDiffuser · 03/04/2020 07:43

Can’t believe people are boasting about stockpiling on here and then trying to justify it.

lottieloop · 03/04/2020 07:45

I have 10 stored away which is normal for me... I've not bought no more or no less. Really didn't get it when everyone started going mental buying loads Confused

EffOrf · 03/04/2020 07:49

I always buy bulk on Amazon when my preferred loo roll is on offer, many others do this, I also buy tissues and kitchen roll in bulk and other household stuff when it is on a good offer, I pay £79 for Prime each year so obviously I am going to make use of the delivery service and offers and not haul bulky household goods home from the supermarket like a fool.

No they don’t, because most of us who have large stocks, built them up slowly as Brexit prepping. Either that or bulk bought in cash and carry stores before the crisis.

Northernsoullover · 03/04/2020 08:08

Arrietty I built mine up too. I'm just topping up with a 4 pack when I go out now. Lack of exercise and general diet (not eating as much fruit and veg) means I'm a bit 'slow' Grin

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 03/04/2020 08:11

About 50? But we have a toilet roll subscription with who gives a crap so get deliveries in bulk every few months, one of which has just arrived. Means we never have to buy loo roll from the shops.

isseywith4vampirecats · 03/04/2020 08:27

14 which should last me about another 2 weeks

ArriettyJones · 03/04/2020 08:47

Exercise really does make a difference doesn’t it @Northernsoullover ? Just starting to notice that Blush

Angel2702 · 03/04/2020 08:49

Not sure but we usually buy 40 every six weeks. We are getting through absolutely loads more now everyone is at home so definitely going to need to get more in the next month.

cerealmilk · 03/04/2020 08:50

About 5. But not worried! If I don’t manage to pick any up, it’s not the end of the world to have no loo roll, is it? There are worse things to be out of!
