Be honest - how many toilet rolls in your house?

I realised today we have 18 toilet rolls in the cupboard. To be fair, I always have lots in for some reason. But a friend told me on the phone today, she now has......65. How about you?

About 60.
I prepped for Brexit and haven't bought any since January.

Bouncingbomb · 02/04/2020 22:52

50 I reckon, three toilets and I only ever buy the 24 packs, nothing to do with panic buying in the last few weeks, buy a pack every third Ocado order and I have two deliveries a month.

BitchHazel · 02/04/2020 22:52

Fewer than 18. I opened one of our two 9 packs this week, not sure how many we've gone through.

Ninkanink · 02/04/2020 22:52

20, plus the one currently in use. Plus wet wipes.

dellacucina · 02/04/2020 22:53

Maybe 3 or 4. I feel completely untouchable thanks to my daughter's Cheeky Wipes. Throw your worst at me, supply chain failures!!!

BigMamaFratelli · 02/04/2020 22:54

Two adults, four kids. Doesn't feel excessive. I'd usually have slightly less, but then I tend to shop three times a week and now I'm only going once so

Rebootingagain · 02/04/2020 22:54

Some of these replies are nuts. Why on earth would you have so many toilet rolls?

We have one on the go in each bathroom and one by the bed for sex cleanup. To be honest in current lockdown that is the one getting the most use.

If we run out before our next essential shop then it’s no big deal, don’t you people have showers in your houses?

About 40 - we got a Who Gives a Crap delivery just before panic buying set in. I have noticed how quickly we're getting through them though with the whole family in the house all day.

tmi @Rebootingagain we don't need to know why you have them in the bedroom Confused

Hooleywhipper · 02/04/2020 22:58

Just opened a pack of 9, so 8.

FlamingoAndJohn · 02/04/2020 22:58

About 30.

I had a Who Gives a Crap delivery only January. Only 2 of us so it takes us a while to get through them.

How can you buy 107 toilet rolls by accident ? Grin

samandpoppysmummy · 02/04/2020 23:00

I have 9 in the house and 80 in the garage (bought from Costco ages ago, so not stockpiled).

AuditAngel · 02/04/2020 23:00

About 60. But, we buy 48 at a time usually, from cash and carry, and DH had just stocked up when the world went mad. They have been forced to close their business, and he bought another pack home from there.

Susanna85 · 02/04/2020 23:00

Unopened 24 pack. And have the last couple from the last pack out.

That was stockpiling a little as I would usually buy a smaller pack.

SleepingMammoth · 02/04/2020 23:02

We've got about 15 I think.

@ArriettyJones Thankfully, 'Family Cloth' doesn't mean one cloth shared between all.
It just refers to everyone in the household using cloth wipes instead of toilet roll.

Grab a clean cloth wipe. Use to wipe. Pop in a nappy wetbag. Then wash them all as you wash the nappies and wipes used for baby.

It's not something we've ever done and I see why people feel a bit 'ick' about it, but I guess it makes sense if you're using and washing cloth nappies and wipes anyway.

Tolleshunt · 02/04/2020 23:03

18, which is about a fortnight’s supply for us. I usually have somewhere between 6 and 15 in at any time, so not much more than usual, and only just enough to cover a fortnight in quarantine.

Oh that’s okay then. Misleadingly named Smile

bitchonthepitch · 02/04/2020 23:05

A huge box because we buy bamboo ones twice a year and the delivery arrived a couple of weeks ago.

InkieNecro · 02/04/2020 23:05

@opinionminion Ex had subscribe and save set up for 36 rolls to be delivered a month. I kept telling him to cancel it but he either forgot or refused! I've given packs away as well.

spongedog · 02/04/2020 23:07

about 25.

I buy on Subscribe and Save every 6 months. So have bought none for us since last year and shared with my Mum (different household). She has the only on line delivery slot that i could get in the next few weeks and told me off for putting toilet roll in. She seems to have forgotten that her medication made her quite unwell last year and I cannot get over to see her very often. I will remove it from her order but will keep an eye on levels. I never thought I would stress about something like that but when you are trying to keep 2 households steady it feels quite pressured.
