It says 2pm ET (eastern time- usa) which is 7pm UK

Bluewavescrashing · 02/04/2020 21:44

Ah OK, thanks for that. I'd be trying to watch it at 2pm like a lemon otherwise!

Thank you. That sounds fantastic!

SinkGirl · 02/04/2020 21:47

I was just saying a few months ago I wish all original cast shows were recorded for posterity and so you could go back and watch them years later. Obviously Disney are releasing a film of Hamilton with the original cast, I wish this were true for all musicals. And plays!

Will definitely be watching some of these :)

Bluewavescrashing · 02/04/2020 21:47

I'm listening to the soundtrack now in preparation. Bloody love it!

Amazing, thank you!

Appuskidu · 02/04/2020 21:54

We’ve just watched the National Theatre screening of this week’s free play-this is excellent news!

Does anyone know how you can watch these things afterwards if you can’t watch at the 7pm slot?

Bluewavescrashing · 02/04/2020 21:56

I don't know, sorry... I'm planning my entire day around it tomorrow Blush

FinnegansWhiskers · 02/04/2020 21:58

Thank you 😊

WingDefence · 02/04/2020 22:00

@Appuskidu I would imagine it’s just up on YouTube for the 48hrs to watch.

SorrelForbes · 02/04/2020 22:03

Nearly all shows are recorded for posterity but not necessarily recorded for audience viewing purposes if that makes sense?

National Theatre live YouTube chanel is showing a show per week as is ALW's channel. There are lots of others around too including Digital theatre.

SorrelForbes · 02/04/2020 22:04

The National Theatre ones are available for a week each.

Oooh, Which version is it?

Sorry yes, I meant I wish they were available to view, even if they didn’t release them for a set period of time - I can’t imagine it would stop people going to the theatre but theatre nerds like me could get to see shows they’d never be able to see otherwise. There are several productions where I’d absolutely love to be able to see the original production - and sadly I never get to the theatre at all any more due to the kids. One day!

Bluewavescrashing · 02/04/2020 22:11

DH: what on earth are you listening to?!

Me: Joseph mega mix!

DH: oh God, you've actually lost the plot.

Me: Grin

I've just watched tonight's offering with James Corden.Superb and I'll be sending a donation to the National Theatre tomorrow. Just now, tho, time to wash up my dinner dishes..

ritzbiscuits · 02/04/2020 22:20

I was in the UK touring production as a child - I need to watch this to reminisce! Thanks

Crafting1Queen · 02/04/2020 22:20
