Really excited about this!

Although Joseph is weekly viewing in my household already, my 4yo daughter is obsessed 🤣

TheMagiciansMewTwo · 02/04/2020 22:49

Thanks for posting! I missed the NT performance tonight so glad I know about this one in advance Grin

Bluewavescrashing · 02/04/2020 23:01

The soundtrack (Jason Donovan version) is on Amazon music unlimited 🎵

Oh this looks good!!

MusicianTom · 03/04/2020 01:34

If you're watching these online, please consider making a donation. Maybe to your local theatre, which might not have as much money as ALW's company. Theatres and the people that work in them are basically screwed right now, and we're going to lose a lot of valued companies before corona is over. People are turning to the arts and entertainment world to help them get through, please could you give something back?

Yes I agree with @MusicianTom

My daughter just got a huge grant to put on a play in November and it looks like she's have to return it all Sad more than 12 month work lost

KatyMac · 03/04/2020 19:55

Is there a cast list anywhere for Joseph tonight please?

KatyMac · 03/04/2020 20:33

Got it all sorted!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/04/2020 20:46

This version is WOEFUL

Cheesy As Fuck

Loving it!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/04/2020 20:48

The NT show One Man, Two Guvnors is up on Youtube for a week @TheMagiciansMewTwo

MadauntofA · 03/04/2020 20:52

That was such a camp version!!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 03/04/2020 20:54

It's the Donny Osmond version they will be streaming from the year 2000.

Then it's the Tim Minchin Jesus Christ Superstar the following week.

I'm waiting to hear what comes next as I have both of the above on DVD .

snappycamper · 03/04/2020 21:12

Awful wasn't it. I'm gutted, was expecting a full stage show like the NT last night Sad

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/04/2020 21:13

I have a feeling that any that have been made into a movie of we'll get that

I'd rather get a stage version

Comefromaway · 03/04/2020 21:16

If anyone has Disney+ I highly recommend Newsies. Fabulous production filmed live on stage. The dancing is insane.

MadauntofA · 03/04/2020 21:18

How does the NT stream work? Do you have to watch at a certain time?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/04/2020 21:20

No I'm literally watching it now

They are putting a different past production on each week as a fundraiser. You don't pay just choose to donate

Bluewavescrashing · 03/04/2020 21:23

The mega mix is so much better in the Jason Donovan version. Humph. I was looking forward to it all the way through.

Comefromaway · 03/04/2020 21:28

JCS is better. It was actually filmed live. (I think JCS is the best thing ALW ever wrote to be honest).

There are free viewings of the West End production of Wind in the Willows & off West End production of Eugenius available.

HotCrossBungle · 03/04/2020 21:45

Was it not a recording of a live show?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/04/2020 21:51

No it was the version they filmed as a sort of TV movie with Donny Osmond

It was so cheap looking too. Sad

PorpentinaScamander · 03/04/2020 21:55

The cheap chessiness is what makes it so good Grin
We watch it a LOT in the Scamander house.

HotCrossBungle · 05/04/2020 17:09

OMG what a total cheese fest. Loved it. The costumes! 🧀🧀🧀

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 05/04/2020 17:34

I'm voting one hit and one miss.

I wasn't sure I would like o e man two governors, as I'm not normally a lover of farce, but thought it was brilliant and was pleasantly surprised by Janes Corden who really made the whole thing work.

Joseph on the other hand, what were they thinking?
