Can see that it’s possible to wipe down bottles/jars but how do you clean a punnet of fruit or a loaf of bread?

@JMAngel1

omg, is this thread a joke? I can see therapists having a field day.
Last April when the thread was started it may have been a valid choice...

It's a zombie thread from last year, sadly can remember all too well how people were all washing down their shopping and quarantining things in different rooms for a few days! Don't think people do it as much now

How have you lived through the past year and missed the heated discussions between those who had a strict quarantine regimen for everything that entered their house and those who thought them a bit bonkers Grin

@Waxonwaxoff0 my husband had just been dx with myeloma after a fall and being carted off to hospital for a month. So things were a little fraught. We live in London, it was frightening at the peak.

Seriously, we are meant to be disinfecting our shopping?? I've never done this.

No idea how I have not died yet Shock
A few germs have never bothered me, just makes the immune system stronger.

When this thread started in April 2020 there was nothing to say this wasn't a good idea, Covid was new and a bit scary. However in the last year research has been done and people make their own risk decisions.

I now see this is in chat with no obvious reference to Covid in the OP so although I'd have thought that it was perfectly obvious from the date that it was started that it must be pandemic related I suppose if you didn't interact with the media at that time you might not know that it was recommended.

I've not heard anyone recommend covid as being good for the immune system Grin

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2021 20:53

@FlyingBurrito yes this time last year you had no idea whether those 'few germs' would end in a trip to ICU. Sad

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 06/03/2021 21:00

I remember being very jealous of people who had the room to quarantine shopping - I'd be tripping over it if I didn't put it in the cupboards straight away!

blowinahoolie · 06/03/2021 21:01

Not disinfecting.

Uncertainty42 · 06/03/2021 21:02

Haven’t done that
Nor did we wash our hand every five minutes at home ( ridiculous)
Or clap for anyone

PolarnOPirate · 06/03/2021 21:09

Img @MNHQ seriously need a better zombie alert 😂😂😂

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2021 21:12

See you all in 2022? Grin
