...dry-roasted peanuts. I'd forgotten how tasty they are. High in calories but I try to disregard that and concentrate on the protein benefitsSmile. I haven't had Mini Cheddars for a while either so must revisit there soon.

Olives
Salty popcorn
Rice crackers
Oatcakes and blue cheese

WildRosie · 29/03/2020 13:11

I quite like the antipasti olives that Morrison's have in their deli, usually sold with mushrooms and red peppers in a chili dressing. Also Pringles and Cheese Moons, but I haven't seen the latter for years.

Space Raiders Grin. Brilliant alongside a glass of red wine.

Space Raiders. Are they what used to be called Outer Spacers ?

Cheese & biscuits
Cheesy nibbles (those massive bags of cheap ones)
Wotsits
Salt & vinegar peanuts

GenevaMaybe · 29/03/2020 13:28

Yes those little spicy red peppers stuffed with cream cheese
Green pardon peppers fried with chunky rock salt scattered over
Smoked almonds
Good old hummus
Guacamole

WildRosie · 29/03/2020 13:36

Interesting to see some quite exotic tastes here. I hope the days of the humble Twiglet, inter alia, aren't numbered.

What are pardon peppers ?

What are pardon peppers ?

The ones that repeat on you Grin

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 29/03/2020 14:03

Blue cheese mashed with cream cheese, squished into a celery stalk and cut into bite size pieces.
Mini pickled onions.

But also Twiglets, WildRosie.

WildRosie · 29/03/2020 16:25

Never had any peppers that give me burps or hiccups. Cucumbers, on the other hand...

My late uncle would eat anything like we've described. Plain peanuts, with raisins and cashews, chocolate coated peanuts, dry roasted, Wotsits etc. He wasn't fussy.

Frazzles and beef monster munch.
Sour cream and chive pretzels.

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 29/03/2020 17:06

My grandmother used to have pink gin and Bombay mix at cocktail hour.

That's massively appealing right now.

ArthurDentsSpaceTowel · 29/03/2020 17:06

Raw carrot sticks with hummus; and (DD's fave) celery sticks dipped in a virtue-cancelling amount of full fat vinaigrette.

WildRosie · 29/03/2020 17:21

Forgotten about Bombay Mix. Must look for some next supermarket trip but I think I'll pass on the hummus. I admit I've never had it (my sister likes it) but it has no appeal somehow. Full fat vinaigrette with crudites is fineWink.

Twiglets if in company, cheese balls if not. The jumbo pack from Tesco.

littlemissminor · 29/03/2020 17:30

Scampi Fries, Bacon Fries WineWineWine

TigerJoy · 29/03/2020 17:41

Salted peanuts. Salted crisps (properly crispy, like Walkers, not crunchy)

A little italian plate of prosciutto, black olives, cubes of parmesan, tomatoes. Cornichons

All of the above with a negroni and pretend I'm in Italy having an aperitivo

TerfTerfTerf · 29/03/2020 17:42

PaDRon peppers Grin

I like chilli peanuts, wasabi seaweed, anchovy-stuffed olives, paprika pringles, or pâté on melba toast with my aperitifs. Or in times of crisis, wotsits Smile

Ninkanink · 29/03/2020 17:45

@TigerJoy oh yes. To the nibbles, and the Negroni.

Justkeeprollingalong · 29/03/2020 17:51

Walkers Sensations Lime and Coriander Popadoms or salted mixed nuts ....... only 10 minutes until Gin O'Clock .....

IndieTara · 29/03/2020 17:56

Pretzels
Smoked almonds

Ninkanink · 29/03/2020 18:01

Marmite cashew nuts are extremely moreish.

WildRosie · 29/03/2020 18:03

Padron peppers ? I'm none the wiser but OK. It's gone six so I'm having a bottle of ale with dry roasted peanuts.

Pittas and dips
Pickled onion monster munch
Cauliflower/ celery / carrot and dips
Salt and vinegar walkers
Cheesy dibbles
Cheddars
Blue cheese & bread sticks if red wine

Right it's gone six isn't it. Off to get bits out.
