I know a lot of people are struggling to make ends meet so I'm not trying to be insensitive - I'm not necessarily talking big purchases but if you are lucky enough to have financial security at the moment, what have you ordered to keep you busy?

I've ordered some make up products as before this I was training as a make up artist and want to practise different looks to keep myself in the game.
I also got a load of yarn so I can knit and some garden seeds to plant and veg stuff which I would have ordered regardless.

Beanies coffee multipack for myself
New family games for Nintendo Switch
Crafts for young DC
Exercise books and HB pencils for "school" work
Swing ball for garden
Dinsey+

Might order a few bits from Lush come pay day...

MinkowskisButterfly · 28/03/2020 18:48

I will say we are lucky we could by these things and I am really aware of that - my husband is in retail (supermarket) and I am a full time carer for dd1 so our income hasn't changed.

HundredMilesAnHour · 28/03/2020 18:52

Kettlebells

Frozen cookie dough

Hoping the first balances out the second!

Daffie19 · 28/03/2020 18:55

Chocolate!
Gonna be even fatter by the end of this 😂

Cherrysoup · 28/03/2020 18:58

@Bargebill19 an inflatable chicken costume? Like this guy stopped in Spain during lockdown? 😂

Cherrysoup · 28/03/2020 19:00

I bought a new foundation so I could practise using it during lockdown. Unfortunately, it looks like I’m very sick and pale while wearing it. 🤣

Yes she loves it - mum on sick pay only, if it makes it easier for them - it makes me happy. I’m lucky to be able to still work.

Wine
Gin
Jigsaw puzzles and second hand books from Ebay

ScrumptiousBears · 28/03/2020 19:04

Wine and crisps.

A random selections of biscuits for the rare day we both have off together (with the kids) where we have tea and biscuits in bed in the morning.

Bargebill19 · 28/03/2020 19:04

Cherrysoup

Yes very similar. Only you put your legs in the chicken legs and the head and body is inflated and it has fake human legs to make you look like you are riding a chicken. Thought it would lift my residents spirits whilst I delivered Easter eggs at my care home. Might ease the tension for staff too.

I have ordered a new kindle which should be arriving on Monday. My current one is so slow, it's barely functioning. I anticipate doing a lot of reading in the next few weeks or months, between entertaining DS. I've also treated myself to a Readly subscription.

For DS so far, I've ordered a colouring book and more Duplo which is actually arriving this evening!

Pentium85 · 28/03/2020 19:06

A new swing set thing for the garden for DS

A tuff tray with daily activities for DS also

Lots of baking stuff for me

iklboo · 28/03/2020 19:12

Hidden object & brain games for my tablet. Great unwind after working (from home) all day.

InMySpareTime · 28/03/2020 19:12

A fuckton of loose leaf tea. That, and my TBR shelves should see me through to summer.

blue25 · 28/03/2020 19:17

There’s a two month free trial for Readly at the moment. I found it through hotukdeals.

BG2015 · 28/03/2020 19:28

I bought acetone to take my gel polish off with and hair dye for my roots.

Also a lead to connect my iPad to the TV so I can do workouts.

thebear1 · 28/03/2020 19:29

Disney plus, but not much else extra other than about £7 on bits for the dc in hobby craft when the lockdown became apparent.

BrowncoatWaffles · 28/03/2020 19:33

Craft stuff for the kids. Baileys, baklava and chocolate for me.

thequeenbeyondthewall · 28/03/2020 19:34

Pre mixed porn star martini from m & s as they do it in a size the same as a bottle of wine.

Crafts subscription for DD6. She doesn't know and I can't wait to see her little face when it arrives addressed to her.

Cupboard paint from Wilkinson's and I've spent the last two days painting my kitchen and the cupboards. It's going well and I'm really surprised how good it actually looks.

Ellapaella · 28/03/2020 19:35

Loads of stuff for the garden - my new project for my days off.
Disney subscription for the kids and I've bought them loads of craft materials to make stuff.
I've bought myself some comfy lounge wear and the dog has a few new toys and chews coming.

Ellapaella · 28/03/2020 19:36

Oh and I've signed up for online yoga sessions with my regular yoga teacher.

ilovemydogandmrobama2 · 28/03/2020 19:41

Longdistance · 28/03/2020 19:45
