What have you been buying to get you through lockdown?

I know a lot of people are struggling to make ends meet so I'm not trying to be insensitive - I'm not necessarily talking big purchases but if you are lucky enough to have financial security at the moment, what have you ordered to keep you busy?

I've ordered some make up products as before this I was training as a make up artist and want to practise different looks to keep myself in the game.
I also got a load of yarn so I can knit and some garden seeds to plant and veg stuff which I would have ordered regardless.

A hush order and done coffee caramel syrup

Wool to get crocheting again, books, and guitar music...
And wine. I was not having any on a school night but now there are no school nights!

A dog guard and dog boot liner for the car.
Been lusting after a Garmin watch but can't afford it yet. Hopefully there will be a sale soon!

Wine and gin. New watercolour markers.

And the cleaner isn’t coming so I’ve had to do it myself and realised what a half-assed job she’s been doing recently so I’ve ordered a new vacuum cleaner floor tool plus vacuum bags and dusters. I’ve paid her until the end of April and I think after that I’ll give her another months money in lieu of notice.

Wine and chocolate!

A boules set to use with the kids in the garden and a few packets of seeds so we can grow courgettes, tomatoes and jalapeño peppers. A few new books for the kids.

Wine and chocolate. Some bedding plants and also an ornamental wooden windmill which I have always secretly covered. I dont think dh will be as thrilled as me when it comes

I’ve done the same @timeforawine been lovely to watch the differing birds on my feeders and today heralded a starling ! I’ve not seen any till now!!

I'd been prepping things for kids since jan so they have some stuff in wardrobes ready to get out when boredom strikes.

When we get paid I’ll buy a mud kitchen, a basket ball and one of those balls on a pole you have to bat to one another

I've just bought or rather got netflix already got loads of stuff earmarked for when oh is back at work on Monday

I can't afford much but I have bought some chocolate and some nice bread if I've been able to get hold of some. I also bought the book that ds' class was reading in novel study at school but never got the chance to finish. He's a bit disappointed about it so I've found the chapter-by-chapter planning for teaching it and we'll study it together.

Personally; I seem to be coping by buying plants for the garden. All the plants. And some wine.

An exercise step and ab roller. Already had weights. Bought paint to redecorate a room when we got sent to wfh and it looked as though a lockdown was on the cards. I've treated myself to a cleanser I like which is quite pricey.

Nothing! We lost 80% of our household income overnight. I'd love to be able to buy things to cheer us up but instead we are literally rationing food.

Craft kits for the kids, reams of blank paper for dd2(5) she has severe anxiety and drawing keeps her calm on a normal day she would use 5-10 pages a day- anticipating a massive increase. Some disney films. A refurbished laptop so we can all work though not sure of when it will arrive - was suppposed to arrive last week 🤷‍♀️.

Scented candles ( Anthropologie's Boulangerie range) Face masks, phonics games and school jotters, sun loungers (in case we are stuck in until summer)
