Thought we could have a sort of pet diary thread, what they’re getting up to. With pics!

My old spaniel will be having a fairly quiet day but quite possibly a snack-filled one, as they have muck-spread the fields we walk through. It’s like a giant buffet for him Envy

Windy - please can I come and sit on your bench - I'll stay away from humans - I just want to be part of the your dog gang.

My ddog is being loafy and confused. Business as usual here....

Momniscient · 25/03/2020 12:05

Our cat brought in her first rat today. Can't tell if I'm pleased (the area does have a problem and I'd be dead chuffed if she solved it) or horrified (rat! In the kitchen!).

Windyatthebeach · 25/03/2020 12:45

Sadly ddogs know nothing of social distancing...
I woke up to a Husky on my neck....
And I can't wee without a Lurcher outside the door. ..
They have no boundaries at all!!

My boy, a DC aged 15, ate his breakfast, then spent a good half hour in the garden. He came inside and sunned himself in the kitchen and has now gone upstairs to nap.

My dogs are thrilled to have daddy wfh and treated him to a sing along when their favourite song came on the radio. I'm a key worker so I missed it all.

madcatladyforever · 25/03/2020 13:05

Taking a dump on the bathroom floor as usual. It's closer for her than the litter tray.

Geometricprince · 25/03/2020 13:18

Dog is alternating between cooking himself in the conservatory and cooling off in the living room. I'm plying him with ice cubes because he always stays in the conservatory for too longHmm. Neighbour's cat is in our garden chasing butterflies. She's caught and eaten a couple which kis pretty grim to be honest!

RevealTheHiddenBeach · 25/03/2020 18:49

Ddog made the most of her walking time today to get freaky with the grass.

The rest of the time she's super confused that DH and I are always home but can't always play with her...

Spaniel walked with me to garage in next village to collect my car following service, found 2 toads in garden, they have been moved to neighbours pond, has spent the rest of day sunbathing until husband did some ditching in the field/stream and she joined him to help.
One river swim and shower later now clean, had her dinner and curled up on sofa.

LargeGinOnTap · 25/03/2020 19:01

Ddog joined in on doing Jo Wicks this morning. She liked licking and clambering on us when doing the floor exercises. All the she was a bit Hmm at all the jumping about

Then she went for a walk and had fun charging around and was really good at recall practice.

After lunch she helped out in the garden, had a paddle in the stream and we played with the flirty stick.

Then nap time followed by tea and more 😴😴😴

shinynewapple2020 · 25/03/2020 19:04

Mine is happily snoozing away after two nice long walks with both myself and DH taking him on our 'allowed' exercise.

Sorry to hear that @RedElephants Thanks

Phwooooar · 25/03/2020 19:13

Leo (Great Dane)
Daphne (Wottie - aka Scottie/westie cross)
Stan (Maine Coon)
All discussing who gets priority over main snooze areas in kitchen... dogs delighted everyone is home but not sure why that doesn’t mean more entertainment ..

Sausage1 has hayfever and is huffing like a mini hairy hippo. Very naughty sausage2 just took advantage of a huffing fit and took the opportunity to hump his brother whilst he was otherwise engaged.

Between saus1's huffing and saus2's humping it was like a very dodgy porn film in the middle of the kitchen.

Most off-putting whilst peeling the spuds.

Bunnyflop · 26/03/2020 10:17

Henry rabbit is sitting on ds’ beanbag and ripping the sides off of his cardboard playhouse. Also laying out like superman.

The cat has been sunbathing and is now with DD, very pleased with school closing in order that she could have extra staff.

The rabbit is snuggled with DS, also happy with schools closing for him.

The 3 silkie chickens are outside enjoying the sunshine. They were all snuggled together last night.

Windyatthebeach · 26/03/2020 10:26

Drabbits have been inside!!.

My eldest cat is relaxing safe in the knowledge that he's bled us dry so we can't afford to take him to the vet three days in a row! Think it was all a ploy to send DH to Costco for sachets of food to feed him in sympathy......which younger cat has now cottoned on to and is now refusing to eat his biscuits (also bought in Costco, there's a massive bag in the boot of my car).

Bunnies are waiting for DD to put them out in the garden. Glad it's been sunny recently as they love laying out and sunbathing.

Frenchfemme · 26/03/2020 10:41

My 2 are loafing about growing their coats, safe in the knowledge that the groomer is closed for the duration. About to go out onto the terrace on their long leads, but it’s not so much fun with no random walkers/horses/post van etc to bark at!

Foster cat, who is six months old and going through a terrible teenage stage, has been vigorously pursuing his new hobby of chasing and biting people's legs. Luckily his new feather-on-a-string toy has arrived through the post so he can be exercised to exhaustion with that to give us some respite. What he really needs is another six month old cat to play with, if anyone has a spare that they don't need. Here he is in a brief moment of relative calm.

DCat1 is sulking because we left her out in the garden for longer than she wanted (but still only half an hour!). DCat2 has demanded snacks and is now sitting on the roof of the shed surveying her kingdom.

LargeGinOnTap · 26/03/2020 13:18

Joined in on joe wicks again. Especially liked it when I played with her toy whilst doing it

Sunbathing

Walkies later

Rewy · 26/03/2020 13:28

Dog currently sunbathing outside on a bench. Had a good bath and brush this morning !
