Just booting up my Sims 4 again now, might treat myself to a new expansion pack! I would LOVE to play Planet Zoo but alas it's not available on Mac yet Sad

BobbinThreadbare123 · 29/03/2020 11:07

I played Sims 4 so much yesterday that my back is killing me from sitting too long using a computer mouse. I will repeat the same mistake today!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 29/03/2020 11:11

Been playing two point hospital today. Then ill move to sims 3 and might play Mass Effect Andromeda.

I miss the sims! Played the first 3 religiously but do not enjoy the fourth one.

I'm animal crossing it atm. Plus red dead redemption obviously lol :)

But I wanna try get into the witcher and the assassins creed games too.

Peanutbutteryogurt · 29/03/2020 11:15

I'm playing red dead redemption 2 and dp and I are watching friends for the millionth time of Netflix, but it's such a good distraction.

BackyardChickens · 29/03/2020 11:17

Ooo I have found my people!

Does anyone else make a family, move them in, build a house, play for about 20 mins and then have to scrap the house and build one again?!

Caribbeanescape · 29/03/2020 11:18

I’m playing Zelda, Breath of the Wild and could easily spend hours every day on it.

SkaLaLand · 29/03/2020 11:25

Oh I love Sims 4 I have all the expansion packs courtesy of my DH 😁 I can live any kind of life I want!
For some reason I am usually a lesbian who sleeps around a lot and lives alone on the Sims 😂 escapism at its best.

I also tried two point hospital yesterday and may have another go today.

Soubriquet · 29/03/2020 11:30

I must say I don’t really enjoy the sims 4 either

Sims 3 is best

BoogieFeet · 29/03/2020 11:33

I've got the Cats and Dogs expansion pack for Sims. My Sim lives a happy life with many cats. She goes out looking for stray dogs/cats to bring home and treat with her home vet clinic.
(No job for her - I used the cheats to make her wonderfully rich!)

BobbinThreadbare123 · 29/03/2020 11:34

I found the build mode in Sims 3 to be optimal. Sims 4 isn't that good in comparison. Still wondering if I should get some expansion pack for 4 and see if it funs it up...

Wanderlust21 · 29/03/2020 11:44

I just find sims 4 a bit...empty.

Been thinking about getting zelda ocarina of time on my 3ds as it's one of my all time fave games. I'd like to get majors mask too but its like 40 quid so...

I liked breath of the wild just for the horses and rdr2 had outdone that lol. But excited that they are talking about making a breath if the wild 2!

maneandfeathers · 29/03/2020 11:46

@TerribleCustomerCervix the hospital game has caused a few arguments in this house, we both want to play 😂 DC does not get what the fuss is about!

MsMiaWallace · 29/03/2020 12:21

Omg!
I just downloaded SIMS mobile!
Kids just got it. They're loving it!
This brings back memories!!

TerribleCustomerCervix · 29/03/2020 12:29

maneandfeathers - DH doesn’t enjoy simulation games as he’s a philistine, and he’s confused why I’d be playing a hospital game in the current pandemic situation.

I’m just glad I don’t have to share!

Roweeeeena · 29/03/2020 18:11

Found my people Grin I'm enjoying sims 4 on the computer and DH just got Two Peaks Hospital on the xbox and we had fun with that the other night. Definitely appreciating games more at the moment!

Roweeeeena · 29/03/2020 18:12

Sorry Two Points, not peaks!

Pickles89 · 29/03/2020 18:14

Which version of The Sims though OP? For me it's Sims 2 all the way, anything else is just insulting to the name. Currently I'm in a Planet Zoo mood though, and 2point hospital.

PennyNotSoWise · 29/03/2020 18:21

@BackyardChickens

It's the only way to play Grin I spend four hours building a mansion, another hour meticulously planning the family, get bored with them and the house and start all over again.

AccioCake · 29/03/2020 18:23

I'm 31 and I've never stopped playing The Sims Blush I have all the expansions for Sims 4. Played it for 3 hours last night.

Went through a stage of playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and a couple other games but I always go back to The Sims.

BackyardChickens · 29/03/2020 18:33

Brilliant Grin

MagnoliaJustice · 29/03/2020 19:05

Building the house is the best part. I give them top notch furnishings, a fabulous pool, garden furniture, a swing, a slide and a playhouse for the children.

Then I organise a maid to keep it all clean, have a nanny for childcare, throw a party or two, engineer a few neighbourly disputes by making my Sims flirt with the married ones, take them shopping to buy shitloads of clothes, go to the restaurant for a slap up meal...then I get bored and forget to ensure the kids do their homework and actually get on the school bus (too busy playing in the garden) and the social worker turns up and takes the kids into care, then my Sims (who are only upset for about 10 minutes) put food in the oven and go to bed for a shag, and the house sets on fire - I never buy a fire alarm, it spoils the fun when the fire brigade turn up and save the day.

Then I start all over again with a new couple, and they can usually adopt the kids of my previous (now deceased) couple. With the second family, I try to get the children to adulthood without being removed by the social worker, but it doesn't always happen.

I LOVE IT! Grin Grin

I’ve just purchased a new laptop due to this thread! When it arrives I’m downloading Sims 3. Although I’ve only ever played Sims 1 and 2 donkeys ago now. Is Sims 3 better than Sims 2?

MagnoliaJustice · 29/03/2020 20:14

I think Sims 2 is better than Sims 3. You can still cause distress by removing the swimming pool ladder while they're in the pool and they can't get out. In Sims 3, they jump out regardless. Also In Sims 2 you can have a full-time nanny but in Sims 3, there's just an adhoc babysitter.

AccioCake · 29/03/2020 21:07

@Moonshine160 I prefer Sims 3 over 2. I still have a nostalgic love for 2, but in 3 it's more "open world". You can zoom out and explore the town. Click on a building and your Sim will walk or drive there and you can follow them along the way. In Sims 3 you can customise absolutely every item. I got a new laptop last year but Sims 3 doesn't look that great on it and gets laggy.
