Hello fellow plane spotters!

So I thought Trump had stopped flights to and from Europe but there still seem to be quite a few?

Second point.... anyone know why BA Airbus 319 GEUPD flew Heathrow to Bournemouth yesterday?

There are planes around just now for sure. Look at the bit at the bottom that says Filters. It should be in white type the same as the other titles (settings, alarms etc)

If it’s yellow you have filters in so go in and remove the filters. Then you should be able to see everything.

I've tried that and it's not working. Nothing I seem to do - other than search for a specific flight - works. Very frustrating. It definitely worked for me before!

BIWI · 02/04/2020 12:13

... take it all back! I must have set something - have just reset the whole thing and it's showing me planes now Smile

Am old enough to remember when planes in the sky were so rare, all the kids in the the playground/street would stop and point skywards. When did kids stop doing that ?

BIWI · 02/04/2020 12:24

Look at all the planes over China Shock

Papergirl1968 · 02/04/2020 12:39

I still do, Mirada, well, not point but look up and wonder where they’re from, where they’re going, and who is on board.
We don’t really live on a flight route but we did get one more or less overhead the other night, albeit 35,000 up, and FR told it was a cargo plane on its way from Wisconsin to Germany.

Oldraver · 02/04/2020 12:45

Pave never noticed the funny shaped ones before

BraveLittleDragon · 02/04/2020 12:50

Over Netherlands now - it's the very fat plane symbol

BraveLittleDragon · 02/04/2020 12:50

@Oldraver They are Fighter Jets - they are on exercise.

limberlost · 02/04/2020 12:58

I downloaded freedar a few days ago and it doesn't seem to be working. Is it something I have done wrong?

Mirada · 02/04/2020 13:02

Flightradar24 or Planefinder. Which is better ?

amusedbush · 02/04/2020 13:18

Wonder why there is a Beluga Airbus flying from Toulouse to Chester?

Wonder why there is a Beluga Airbus flying from Toulouse to Chester?

There is a factory that makes airbus wings there. Beluga flies that regularly.

inflam · 03/04/2020 09:34

There is no new double decker airbus?

Katinski · 03/04/2020 09:40

I'd love some Beluga right now.For breakfast. I mean, I never have, but...
Haven't seen the Air Ambulance flying over mine en route to the Q.E.hospital for ages. Gotta be good.

notimagain · 03/04/2020 11:41

There is no new double decker airbus?

I assume people are actually referring to the relatively new Beluga XL....very pretty it is to when seen in the metal...the paint scheme is inspired..

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_Beluga_XL

..and yes, Belugas large and small have been flying to the Airbus plant near Chester for years

BIWI · 03/04/2020 11:42

What is 'BALL' which is over Kupang?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/04/2020 12:03

I didn't know that re Chester! I mainly use Flight Radar to track my partner's flights in and out (he travels for work) - or he did.

I have however seen the Antonov in the flesh. I was travelling for work and as we taxied we went right past it. Turns out it was transporting props for a Britteny Spears concert.

I’m watching the Irish coastguard at the moment. I’m new to FR24 - do they patrol like that as a matter of course or are they looking for someone?

I thought Gatwick was closed? But flightradar is showing a plane having taken off from there, bound for Romania - a Wizzair plane. Any ideas?
