Is this a joke......

Nicknacky · 28/02/2020 22:20

Seriously? What do you work as? I work with the public, I’m in and out of houses with poor hygiene but this wouldn’t even enter my head.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:21

I am a community carer.

Don’t be ridiculous.

TorkTorkBam · 28/02/2020 22:22

Work is not optional for me. Bills need paying.

dappledsunshine · 28/02/2020 22:23

No absolutely not, I'm frontline NHS but we just get on with it like the rest of the population have to....

AhoyMrBeaver · 28/02/2020 22:23

No, in the unlikely event of me catching it, I'm unlikely to become gravely ill. At least I'd get paid sick leave if I caught it when I was in employment.

Sparklingbrook · 28/02/2020 22:24

No.

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 28/02/2020 22:24

Has someone in your job tested positive?

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:25

no, well this role is only an extra role which i am been thinking of giving up for a while

OP posts:
EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:25

in my job, they are all elderly

OP posts:
Youngatheart00 · 28/02/2020 22:26

They need you more than ever, not abandoning ship.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:27

i dont want to be a martyr

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 28/02/2020 22:28

Who says you are a martyr? You are just doing your job.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:28

pfft, they Always need me, they cant keep any staff

OP posts:
isabellerossignol · 28/02/2020 22:29

You're more likely to be a danger to them than they are to you.

Wowzel · 28/02/2020 22:29

I work in A&E, I can't see giving up work due to coronavirus as being acceptable

amd4578 · 28/02/2020 22:29

I work in a busy airport and didn't even see a single mask today... Life goes on

carly2803 · 28/02/2020 22:29

tbh id sack my job off for a packet of bourbons, but i have bills to pay

sadly not

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:30

exactly @isabellerossignol,
very good point

OP posts:
EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:34

the nurses in china who have died through their work are going to be viewed as martyrs.

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 28/02/2020 22:35

You aren’t in China. Give up work if you were going to anyway but don’t make daft excuses for it.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:35

it is not daft to me

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 28/02/2020 22:36

Explain your reasoning?
