If you are that worried you should not only give up work but also stay at home and self isolate.

sweetkitty · 28/02/2020 22:46

Yes I think we should all give up work, travel oh and going out the house. The whole world grinds to a halt and we’re all dead of starvation.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:46

i actually bet the front line nurses are scared shitless

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:47

yikesanotherbooboo · 28/02/2020 22:52

I'm still not sure if the OP is being serious but I would say that she is more likely to catch the virus when out and about going to Tesco or whatever than caring for the elderly. It isn't a good reason for giving up your job but that doesn't mean you shouldn't if that is why you want to do

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:52

my other job is admin

I work with someone who’s cousin was staying in Tenerife at the hotel next to the one that was quarantined. They stayed at their house a day after getting back and they felt ill. Only for 1 day though. I joked that they’ve probably the virus caught it off them but who’s to say they haven’t? The guy is going about as normal. He might have it, he might not. There must be hundreds doing this.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:53

i only do this because I like the oldies

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 28/02/2020 22:53

So don’t give it up then if you like doing it.

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:53

but i am quite frightened and there is not much to allay my fears

Loobieloo27 · 28/02/2020 22:56

I work for the NHS, I'm not scared shitless. I have a job to do like most, in my opinion it has been massively overhyped.

Sks09 · 28/02/2020 22:56

Enidblyton please stop this I have never heard so much stupid talk in my life are you even an adult you sound like a silly child

EnidBlyton · 28/02/2020 22:58

well this is my fear
thanks for listening, or not

Honeyroar · 28/02/2020 22:59

If you don’t need the job (as you keep mentioning!) and you’re scared then leave. Simples.

I am cabin crew. I travel all over the world, meet all kind of nationalities, and I’m not remotely worried about the virus. I’m slightly worried about getting stuck somewhere in isolation or my work hours being reduced due to people not booking holidays. Perhaps I could do your job!

I don’t quite understand why you think you’re at such risk?

Nicknacky · 28/02/2020 22:59

You are posting a few words and not explaining what your actual fear is. You are being irrational.

Monsterjam · 28/02/2020 23:00

The oldies.... yep give it up, stick to admin less likely to insult people with awful names there
