Bob Dylan. My dad is obsessed, saw him lots in the early days. He, and I will be gutted when he dies.

Paul Wellor, same reason but for my partner

MeatLoaf. Love him, his music. I’ll be so sad when he dies..

MrsJBaptiste · 20/02/2020 08:52

I don't know any famous people so nobody.

catwithflowers · 20/02/2020 08:54

Bob Holness from Blockbusters? He’s dead too I’m afraid 😶

KahlanRahl · 20/02/2020 09:01

The queen.

I'm not even British but she is such an icon I'll be sad when she isn't here anymore.

midsomermurderess · 20/02/2020 10:16

Dreading might be overstating it, but I'd certainly be sad when John LeCarre dies. Michael Palin too.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 20/02/2020 10:16

Santa Claus
The tooth fairyGrin

Tana433 · 20/02/2020 10:21

David Jason and Julie Walters for me. Also hope Elton John sticks around for a little while longer as i have got tickets to see him in concert in November!!

cologne4711 · 20/02/2020 10:24

The Queen because there's some sort of long compulsory mourning period isn't there (10 days) ? It will be mega tedious and we're way past the era of doffing our caps and respecting our betters. I know that sounds heartless but she's well into her 90s, she's had a good innings and there's no need for a national outpouring of grief - it should be a celebration of a life well lived.

I agree David Attenborough will be very sad but again he's had a really good life and should be celebrated.

Not famous but will probably make it into the Times obits - a friend of my mother's who is 97 and was at Bletchley Park.

Nowayorhighway · 20/02/2020 10:25

I wouldn’t say I actively dread it but it will be sad when DeNiro and Pacino go.

EmpressJewel · 20/02/2020 10:28

The Queen.

I'm not a royalist (nor am I anti royal) but it will be strange when she is gone. Her face is on our money and stamps, our national anthem is about her, etc.

LynetteScavo · 20/02/2020 10:29

I don't dread anyone dying.

I recognise it will be a massive thing when the queen dies.

AlCalavicci · 20/02/2020 10:32

This is hands down the weirdest thread I've ever seen, especially the person 'dreading' some random Bob dying.

I've had to deal with losing both parents in the last 8 years so famous people dying isn't something I dread. I'll feel a bit sad for a couple of days (Bowie was my worst) but then remember all the good stuff they did and be grateful for that.

Honestly it shouldn't make that much difference to your day to day life if you didn't know them, I do feel this outpouring of mourning for a stranger quite odd.

TwoHoots74 · 20/02/2020 10:43

Another one for David Attenborough

MrsT1405 · 20/02/2020 10:43

The queen. I was born the year she came to the throne and it will be strange to have a different head of the royal family.
Keith Richard's.

TheDogsMother · 20/02/2020 10:45

David Attenborough and The Queen. It will feel like the world has shifted a bit on is axis when they go. Things won't ever by quite the same again.

TheFaerieQueene · 20/02/2020 10:45

@whatswithtodaytoday having seen Dave Grohl last year at Reading festival, he has more energy than a 20 year old. 🤘

Another vote for Attenborough here.

I'm an old metalhead and some the bands I grew up with are starting to drop off now which is really sad. When Lemmy died I was gutted.

Samtsirch · 20/02/2020 10:59

Elton John.
Also, perhaps weirdly, Prince Charles.

wendywoopywoo222 · 20/02/2020 11:02

No one for me as I don't know any famous people personally and don't understand the mass upset of famous people dying beyond feeling desperately sad for their friends and family.
