Bob Dylan. My dad is obsessed, saw him lots in the early days. He, and I will be gutted when he dies.

Paul Wellor, same reason but for my partner

MeatLoaf. Love him, his music. I’ll be so sad when he dies..

None of them: I lost my husband 2 years ago and nothing other than it being one of my adult children, or grandchildren could compare to losing my best friend, soul mate and husband.

I know the thread is kind of lighthearted in a sombre sort of way but for me it really is none of them for me

lealea6366 · 21/02/2020 22:59

Queen Elizabeth and Betty White

Zzoomburr · 21/02/2020 23:09

Julie Andrews

I can't imagine the Queen's death being more of a national disruption than Diana's?

AzraiL · 21/02/2020 23:39

Harrison Ford

ThunderR0ad78 · 21/02/2020 23:42

Gohardorgohome - I assume you're taking about Shane MacGowan rather than Bruce.

It is indeed a miracle - arguably one of the most talented song writers of all time, in my opinion!

StudentMummy19 · 21/02/2020 23:44

Robbie Coltrane (I would not have been happy if J K Rowling killed off Hagrid)
Britney Spears (she's my childhood idol and still love her)
It will be quite sad when Barbara Windsor dies.

The world took the piss when it took Alan Rickman from us 😭. I loved him in all his films, not just Harry Potter.

StudentMummy19 · 21/02/2020 23:46

@Thisisnotreallymyname Tom Jones.. definitely agree.

StudentMummy19 · 21/02/2020 23:47

Colin Firth and Hugh Grant..

Quite a few really!

HarrietSchulenberg · 21/02/2020 23:56

Bono or any member of U2. I grew up with their music as the soundtrack of my teenage life (can't stand 'em now) and when one of them goes I'll be gutted.

When I was about 15 I dreamed they'd all died and I woke up crying. Weird.

12345ct · 21/02/2020 23:56

David Jason.

PointlessAddict · 22/02/2020 00:01

No one.

There are several including many mentioned here that I’ll feel sad when they go but I’m not dreading if. Ultimately nothing in my life will change when any famous person dies as I don’t actually know them so nothing to “dread”.

DustyWindows · 22/02/2020 00:23

Madonna
The Queen

countrybumpkunt · 22/02/2020 01:21

The Queen. I adore her

PeytonManning · 22/02/2020 01:24

Without sounding weird (which I completely do), as an expat , I think I’ll get the first flight home when the Queen dies. It’s going to be a fascinating moment in history.

Damnloginpopup · 22/02/2020 01:43

The Queen of course, the one person who has put duty to country above all, despite it probably being bloody tedious. Someone to truly admire no matter if you agree with or like her.

Meghan. They'll blame the Queen.

Ed Sheeran because it'll be an excuse to play all his songs constantly again all the time everywhere without pause for commas and definitely no full stop

Any who are younger and healthier than me who die naturally. Finger pointing bastards.

And that other Bob. I like him even more than Bob Martley and Bob Mortimer.

McQueensMuse · 22/02/2020 01:49

Billy Connolly for me, I got unreasonably upset the other week when I read how ill he is now.
I grew up watching him on tv, bonded with friends over his vhs tapes, Taught foreign colleagues how to swear properly in Scottish by showing them his YouTube clips.

OutOntheTilez · 22/02/2020 02:00

Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Especially Jimmy.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush. I was devastated when Neil Peart died last month.

Anyone in Duran Duran, especially Simon le Bon. He was the love of my life in my teen years.

Bl3ss3dm0m · 22/02/2020 06:34

Most of the ones that I knew I dreaded dying have ready gone now, and I was very sad:
Jimmy Stewart
Danny Kaye
Bob Hope
Doris Day

Ones that I didn't think about them dying, but that almost crushed me when they did:
Princess Diana - I still miss her, I was devastated.
Robin William's - I was very shocked and
saddened
One's that I didn't know about until after their death, but who died too young, and were brilliant musicians:
Israel Kamwakawiiwoo (sorry if spelt wrong)
His death makes me as
sad as Diana's does.
Not only was he an
amazing musician, but a
thoroughly good person
too.
Eva Cassidy I think that the fact that she
will never be able to sing any
more songs, or have a future
life is tragic.

Ones who will make me very sad when they happen (if before me obviously) :
The Queen
Billy Connely - the only comedian who can always
make me laugh, and we both have
Parkinson's Disease.
Michael Palin
Bradley Walsh - yes, another fan here!
Prunella Scales

One's who I sincerely hope will outlive me, and that I would dread dying if I thought it was at all likely:
Prince William
Prince Harry
All the Queens grandchildren
Any children - the news is far too full of children
dying, often at the hands of those
who should have loved and
protected them the most. I dread
hearing the news every day.

Taddda · 22/02/2020 07:37

Billy Connelly- the first comedian I remember crying with laughter at when I was so young, then the amazing interviews, documentaries....

On a more current setting, Lewis Capaldi....haven't seen him on tv without being completely off his nut, the brits appearance was dire viewing Confused...

Taddda · 22/02/2020 07:55

It's a weird feeling watching films I've grown up with and loved having the 'They're dead now' cropping up more often-

The only person who will have a real impact on life in general passing away is the Queen- Charles will definitely take over but will the public be in support of that? More so the media, there's already been so many 'it should be William and Kate' outpourings....

strictlyshowbiz · 22/02/2020 07:55

Ruth Langford

CaptainMyCaptain · 22/02/2020 08:06

I can't imagine the Queen's death being more of a national disruption than Diana's
Really? I think the whole nature of the monarchy will change. Also Diana's death didn't require a coronation afterwards. Not to mention the stamps, the coins etc. It will be very different, I'm not talking about grief it will be huge in practical terms.

burntpinky · 22/02/2020 08:08

David Jason, Rick Stein, Anthony Hopkins

Jeeperscreepers69 · 22/02/2020 08:21
