What's the view from your bedroom window?

So I'm just sitting here in bed noodling about on MN and looking out at the trees on the village green, waiting for them to get leaves so I can't see the roofs of the houses opposite and just thought - does everyone love the view from their bedroom window?

We look over the tennis courts of a local club. It's not the most amazing view, but there is something quite lovely about the "thwack" of tennis balls in the summer evenings!

Dennisreynoldsduster · 15/02/2020 09:36

nope. I've got a main road and other houses! I do love my house though

JigsawsAreInPieces · 15/02/2020 09:38

Fields mostly! With the main road right outside but I can see loads of fields with a long line of trees in the distance.

Greenteandchives · 15/02/2020 09:38

Other houses. I wish it was a view of the sea though.

Chanel05 · 15/02/2020 09:48

Beyond my garden there is a car park for the local school.

stuckinthemiddlewithtwats · 15/02/2020 09:51

I did until the arseholes next door burned all the trees down while pissed. Now I can see the houses on the next estate instead of the birds playing in the trees.

PhoneLock · 15/02/2020 09:53

Herds of wildebeest.

ReginaGeorgeous · 15/02/2020 09:55

Other houses, I live on a new build estate.

Bbq1 · 15/02/2020 09:55

The houses opposite but it is a lovely road, we recently moved here. At the end of my road there is a lovely big park and 5 minutes down the road the beach so we are in a great spot.

Chemenger · 15/02/2020 09:55

Trees and shrubs, and a high hedge. All shades of green, very restful

TrippingOnSunshine · 15/02/2020 09:57

I love my view I live on a hill in a very rural area so my view is trees, fields, sheep, sometimes cows, more trees, a tiny tractor pootling along in the distance and more fields. And looks different but equally amazing at all times of the year but especially in the snow!

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 15/02/2020 09:58

Trees and my neighbours home

What's the view from your bedroom window?
toria658 · 15/02/2020 10:00

A mountain and woody area at the bottom of my garden.

Pasithea · 15/02/2020 10:00

One way is the dales the other is the Pennines some of the local town in the valley. Trees. Fields sheep cows horses chicken. Oh no sorry today it is sooooooo foggy. Nothing. Lol.

Whynosnowyet · 15/02/2020 10:02

Stones throw from the beach. Lovely view. .

BeyondMyWits · 15/02/2020 10:03

other people's small back gardens and houses.

mostly, other people's bedroom windows about 40 ft away from mine.

Have that most un-mumsnetty thing - nice neighbours - so don't really care.

DonPablo · 15/02/2020 10:03

The local allotments. Looking quite windswept these past couple of weeks. Lots of polytunnels haven't survived the storms. Sad

swapsicles · 15/02/2020 10:04

The other flats and a row of large trees in front of the train line, used to hear it all the time but I'm used to it now, only see the train on the winter though

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 15/02/2020 10:06

I look down the valley, across fields to the river.

Kittensinmysupper · 15/02/2020 10:06

A dear park.. (but the deer have buggered off or been blown away this morning)

What's the view from your bedroom window?
Kittensinmysupper · 15/02/2020 10:07

Haha. Deer even ...

happymummy12345 · 15/02/2020 10:16

The road and the houses opposite. I live in a terraced house. Nothing great to see unfortunately

Zaphodsotherhead · 15/02/2020 10:19

I'd LOVE to have a sea view! I've just moved (about ten yards) from a house where my bedroom looked right down a valley to far hills, and I had the tiny tractors and trees and all, so this view is a bit less spectacular, but still nicely rural.

I've just had some horses go by and I could just see the tops of the riders' heads when they went up on the green. I suppose I could always change bedrooms and have a view over the gardens and the moors, but I like THIS room!

Road, houses opposite, lamp post and a tree, so it's nicer in summer. The council wanted to chop the tree down saying it's dying (making the pavement bumpy, more like), but someone ripped the notice off and it got missed out. I'll be gutted if the tree goes.

I usually have curtains shut and I like them.

Chosennone · 15/02/2020 10:21

Houses and rooftops but beyond that the hills in the distance with a prominent landmark. I feel happy to be able to see the countryside and greenery in the diatance despite living on a road of terraces. We're on the top of a hill so its a good position for views.
