So I'm just sitting here in bed noodling about on MN and looking out at the trees on the village green, waiting for them to get leaves so I can't see the roofs of the houses opposite and just thought - does everyone love the view from their bedroom window?

Golly User 147 you must live RIGHT in the middle of York! My son used to live in a flat on Petergate and they could only see a tiny bit of the Minster...

The end of our driveway, our street and the houses opposite. It faces the right way to see beautiful sunsets almost every night though.

dippyeggsandham · 15/02/2020 14:06

Just loads and loads of houses

The view from my bedroom window is my workplace!
Lovely to have no commute but awful to have to look at my office all weekend.

We see the tops of terraces opposite but over top of them and in the distance we can see over the Firth of Forth to Fife (say that quickly 5 times Wink). We're fortunate because the houses opposite us are lovely stone terraces and flats from early 1900s.They look out at our less than pretty 30s terracesGrin.

Houses (though none overlook us) and in the distance some wind turbines which I love. I wanted to put a chair by the window just to watch them spin, but we're moving soon so it won't happen!

We have fields for about half a mile and then a heritage steam railway, it only operates during school Holidays and weekends, my used to love watching it and hearing the train toot toot as it passed by when they were little!

Ughmaybenot · 15/02/2020 14:34

Both our bedroom windows look over our farmyard, so stone buildings, cows and horses mainly, with my window pointing out over the gate, over a field and over the sea. Can see Lundy island and even wales on a clear day 😍 literally the most wonderful place on earth 👌🏻

TwoZeroTwoZero · 15/02/2020 14:35

Our small front garden, a bush and the houses at the other side of the street.

Very grey today but it's lovely view on a brighter day.

Fields. The Downs in the distance. Beautiful and very lucky to have it.

Cismyfatarse1 · 15/02/2020 14:40

@Apolloanddaphne Close but not quite.....

BarbedBloom · 15/02/2020 14:46

It looks into my garden. I am on the ground floor so I look out into all of my plants and the garden wall, behind which are a row of my neighbours giant sycamores. My cats love to lie on the wall so often it is them lounging around too

Mandatorymongoose · 15/02/2020 14:48

It's grey and rainy today so not much. Usually it's houses followed by hills. I love being able to look out over the hills. The pictures are from my patio door, my bedroom window has the same view but slightly better, it was definitely a plus when we bought the house.

I love the view from my bedroom, especially at night. It's the chimneys and roof tops of old Victoria houses so are all different shapes and sizes. The lights in their little courtyard gardens make it look beautiful from our flat.

Killerqueen11 · 15/02/2020 14:54

My swimming pool and palm tree next to it. Im happy with my view:)

Lozz22 · 15/02/2020 15:01

The B&B straight opposite. If I lived on the upper floor I might get a glimpse of the sea

Poetryinaction · 15/02/2020 15:16

A big tree in the foreground. Hills and the common in the background. It's a low window so I can look out of it from my bed and I love it.

purrswhileheeats · 15/02/2020 15:42

OP I'm obsessed with views, they're so important to me. I was thinking about starting a thread the other day about views from your office but it sounded a bit wanky Grin

GreatAuntE320 · 15/02/2020 15:53

Vineyards and wind turbines
But my village has a Diagon Alley!

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 15/02/2020 15:57

The playground of my DC school

Skyejuly · 15/02/2020 16:03

3rd floor bedroom velux so not much. Only houses out there though.

Veronicat · 15/02/2020 16:07

Right now flooded fields from the river.
Normally the sheep and cows but they have been moved because of Storm Dennis.

flossletsfloss · 15/02/2020 16:08
