What's the view from your bedroom window?

So I'm just sitting here in bed noodling about on MN and looking out at the trees on the village green, waiting for them to get leaves so I can't see the roofs of the houses opposite and just thought - does everyone love the view from their bedroom window?

The garden, fields and on a clear day the sea also... live where I live!

Whynosnowyet · 15/02/2020 10:21

Sea noise is restful but the fog horn another story...
Angry
Our window is warped open a quarter!! Very noisey and sometimes we get snow inside!!
Lots of layers here!

A main road with other houses.
The back of our house looks out over woodland though.

teenagetantrums · 15/02/2020 10:25

Cars and houses. Much prefer the view from lounge for moors and fields. Although to be honest l never open bedroom curtains.

Zaphodsotherhead · 15/02/2020 10:28

Did anyone choose their bedroom for the view? I've just moved in and vacillated between the room I have and the back bedroom - the room I chose is larger but the view isn't so good. In the other room I'd have had a stupendous view (gardens, moorland, distant villages, hills and a Saxon church) but I'd have had to keep my clothes in another room!

We went with the biggest bedroom which is at the front with a rubbish view. The smaller bedrooms are at the back and have lovely woodland views but we wouldn’t have had much storage space

BentNeckLady · 15/02/2020 10:34

Can see for miles over the town. We live on a hill
So have a pretty uninterrupted view. Can’t see any other houses.

sashh · 15/02/2020 10:34

My back garden then a huge hawthorn hedge. Lots of birds and the occasional squirrel.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 15/02/2020 10:38

I'm in a first floor flat.

Car park directly below. Main road and a big open field opposite.

I'm a low earner so don't really have the luxury of choice where I live, but I've never been fussed about a view anyway. I don't spend much time in my bedroom other than to sleep.

vampirethriller · 15/02/2020 10:39

The bin area for the flats opposite and part of those flats. Since yesterday, a mattress and half a chest of drawers.

Whynosnowyet · 15/02/2020 10:40

2 sash windows and amazing view.

Walkerbean16 · 15/02/2020 10:41

A cemetery.

CherryPavlova · 15/02/2020 10:41

A Norman church and tiny graveyard on one side leading down to the well and the Downs from the other.

Cismyfatarse1 · 15/02/2020 10:43

Across the Tay to Dundee and up the Tay towards Perth. It is pretty misty today but is absolutely glorious.

Durham Cathedral looking very wet as it is pouring down here but not as windy as I thought it would be.

Flamingnorahs · 15/02/2020 10:45

My view is of the beautiful old abbey across the road which houses the nunnery. Did you know nuns wear trainers under their habits??

HappydaysArehere · 15/02/2020 10:46

Garden and beyond a recreation ground and then distant trees and houses on higher ground. From the front there is a front garden, trees along the road On the other side Of the road are houses built pre war.

PlomBear · 15/02/2020 10:48

The sea. And houses. But mainly the sea.

MrsAmaretto · 15/02/2020 10:49

Fields, beaches the sea and another wee island. Love the view from my window.

Notwiththeseknees · 15/02/2020 10:51

Today its the sea as we are back in the UK for a week and it is grey and bouncy, massive waves crashing and there are three kitesurfers zooming back & forth.....
Tuesday it will be back to the most amazing view of the snow covered peaks of the Aguille de Midi, Mont Blanc & Aguille Dru from the front and the Brevant from the bedroom....

Ive done my time of rubbish views the past though 😁

Apolloanddaphne · 15/02/2020 10:56

@cismyfatarse Newport by any chance?

I can see my lovely lush front garden and the 17th tee of the golf course just beyond. If I look away into the distance I can see the sea. It is beautiful and tranquil where I live.

Khione · 15/02/2020 11:06

I built my house for the view,
It's in the garden of my old house and having lived with this view for 20 years I really didn't want to move onto an estate. The house was deigned round the views. Picture 3 is the sunrise whilst lying in bed about this time last year when I first moved in

A field with horses from one window and trees from the other. Love lying on the bed with a cup of tea (as I’m doing now) looking up into the branches. I’m very lucky - even if the noise of the wind currently sweeping across the field and through the trees does make me feel as if the house is about to set sail.

Stopyourhavering64 · 15/02/2020 11:12

House is at a t junction, so view is towards village....however also can see the mountains , which are currently covered in snow
