Oh god. They’re awesome.

I bought a pack at 5pm yesterday. I’ve just eaten the last one. Slightly warmed with cream cheese in (currently mourning the roasted pepper one Philadelphia used to do, that would be amazing in them) and maybe a slice of salami

Consider this a PSA...buy them!!

I have some questions...

Do they have fruit in them?
Are they sticky?

No fruit in them

They’re not sticky unless you warm them up then they’re a bit sticky on top

There’s a big hoohaa with people saying they are awful and it’s a disgrace! I say the more the merrrier for me. They are absolutely gorgeous. DH and DD age 11 loves them as well. Too spicy for the boys though.

I like the apple and cinnamon ones but not sure I’ve seen them this year

I've just had 2, toasted, with proper butter on top. Absolutely bloody delicious!!!

I hate mixed peel so don’t tend to eat your standard hot x bun but I could make a full meal out of the apple ones and the chilli ones!

Chocolate ones are ok but they’ve been around so long they don’t excite me anymore

Hot Cross Buns don’t have chilli or cheese in them.

I think M&S should think of a new name for all their so-called variations of a classic recipe

I think they should be called “Fucking glorious buns with a fucking delicious cheesy cross”

But I’m not sure that would get past the boardroom

Really, are they new?

I haven't seen them, just boring flavours from last year.

I remember they did a cheese, marmite and chive one a couple of years ago, and it did have fruit in. (Not a success imo, though I am a fan of marmite).

Do you reckon if enough of you buy them off the back of this thread, M&S will gift me with a years supply?!

Which unfortunately for them and my waistline seems to work out at a packet a day

Are they freshly baked in store or long life bread?
