I used to work somewhere where we would get letters from 'Queen Valerie', reams and reams of paper.

A lady comes into the charity shop where I work and tells everyone who will listen that she is the Queen's cousin. She will walk round the shop picking things up and saying "Oh, Anne said she wanted one like this for Zara" or "Camilla has one just like this in her bedroom". She's quite clearly barking.

There is an American woman who claims to be William and Harry's biological elder sister. The claim is that Diana and Charles did IVF before they got married to check that her eggs were fertile (haha, like it's that easy) and a doctor transferred one of these fertilised eggs to his wife instead of destroying it.

Anyone who believes it doesn't know the first thing about assisted reproduction.

There was someone who a lot of people believed was Anastasia.

The problem with that is we now know (thanks to Phil the Greek) that Anastasia did die in 1918 in that cellar. So no matter who claimed to be her, who believed them and what "proof" they had, they were 100% wrong.

I have heard the stolen egg story regarding Diana and Charles and having IVF myself know it’s not impossible although I doubt it’s true and they’d actually have fertilised the egg with C sperm as it would be totally unnecessary just to confirm each of them was fertile.

I enjoyed the Netflix series about the Russian Czar and his family. Did they ever find her body though?

IVF was very new back in the early 80’s wasn’t it? I mean if true it would be the first time they had ever done this to check if a potential royal bride was fertile. Previous generations wouldn’t have been tested like this. I can’t see why the RF would decide to test Diana in this way when it would never have been done before.
